We are seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented, and curious Performance Marketing Specialist to support and optimize our search advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google Search, YouTube, and TikTok Search Ads. This role will focus on thoughtful in-platform execution: building, launching, monitoring, and refining campaigns to connect with the right audiences in meaningful ways.

The ideal candidate is comfortable in ad platforms, motivated by learning from performance metrics, and passionate about translating insights into improvements. This position will report directly to the Performance Marketing Manager and will work closely with cross-functional marketing partners to support customer acquisition, brand awareness, and revenue growth. This is a hybrid position and will require at least 2 days a week in our DTLA office.

What you will do:

Search Campaign Execution & Optimization

  • Build, launch, and thoughtfully optimize search ad campaigns across Google Ads, TikTok Ads, and other platforms.
  • Implement keyword research, audience targeting, and ad copy updates to improve CTR, Quality Score, and ROAS.
  • Monitor budgets and pacing with care, ensuring resources are used effectively.
  • Support ongoing testing and experimentation across creative, copy, landing pages, and targeting to uncover insights.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and analyze KPIs such as CTR, CPC, CPA, ROAS, and conversion rates.
  • Share weekly and monthly performance updates, including clear, actionable insights.
  • Use attribution and tracking tools (Google Tag Manager, AppsFlyer, Adjust) to evaluate campaign impact.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support

  • Partner with the Performance Marketing Manager to ensure campaigns ladder up to overall strategy.
  • Collaborate with creative partners to ensure assets reflect platform best practices and brand standards.
  • Support integrated initiatives by aligning search ads with paid social, affiliate, and retail media campaigns.

Audience Targeting & Experimentation

  • Build and nurture audience segments for prospecting, retargeting, and new-to-brand acquisition.
  • Identify opportunities to thoughtfully scale campaigns through keyword, audience, and format testing.
  • Contribute to custom audience development using competitor and market research.

What you’ll provide:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of performance marketing experience within the CPG industry (Food & Beverage preferred).
  • Proven experience managing and optimizing paid media campaigns across Google Ads and other search platforms (TikTok, LinkedIn, X).
  • Familiarity with SEM/SEO strategies.
  • Experience running A/B testing and other experimentation.
  • Expertise in audience segmentation, targeting, and budget allocation.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale campaigns efficiently and thoughtfully.

What you’ll bring:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of attribution models (first-click, last-click, multi-touch) and tracking tools (AppsFlyer, Adjust).
  • Dependable, collaborative team member who communicates with clarity.
  • Highly collaborative; thrives in cross-functional team settings.
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to explore creative ideas and solutions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

What we offer:

The pay range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors; actual pay offered may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Sales commissions and/or variable pay plans are also offered depending on the position (ex: monthly, quarterly, annual bonuses). What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
