JOB TITLE: Performance Manager, Mid Corporates
LOCATION: Birmingham
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time in the office.

About this opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the successful Commercial Performance & Enablement team within Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) and be at the forefront of the growth agenda!

Our team is responsible for delivering the Financial and Non-Financial business plan for Mid Corporates (MC) within BCB. The team comprises a small number of central roles, together with a geographically disbursed team of Performance Managers that play a key role in supporting the business deliver against its annual budgets and wider commitments.

You’ll work in close partnership with Regional Directors and MC Relationship Managers / Directors to support them through regular performance interactions, and by identifying and delivering performance improvements to deliver their regions client and financial plans.

Your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership for actively managing and delivering client and budgetary commitments through ongoing performance management and oversight.
  • Working with the Performance Director(s) to deliver the strategy, key enablers and initiatives designed within the Commercial Performance team in COO.
  • Working in close conjunction with the Performance Director to ensure timely and effective sharing of performance management information and demonstrating influencing the input drivers across the key products highlighting trends to Regional Director
  • Taking ownership for supporting the Regional Director in the delivery of MC’s Growth objectives, ensuring that these align to Group Values in terms of being Client First and demonstrating Product Agnosticism.
  • Demonstrating excellent coaching skills, spending time out in the business observing behaviours and providing regular feedback as to the "quality" and "effectiveness" of Relationship Managers / Directors.
  •  Influencing MC Relationship Managers/Directors to drive both their and their Associate’s performance in line with the Group's values and business objectives.
  • Role model agility in the workplace by leading digital advocacy across the Region and support colleagues when embedding new technology.
  • Ensuring activities align with internal and external policies, standards, reporting, legal, statutory and/or regulatory requirements
