About the Role
We’re looking for a people-first, detail-obsessed People Operations Manager to join our growing team at Mangomint. The People Operations Manager role at Mangomint is a highly cross-functional role focused on delivering a white-glove employee experience while keeping our HR systems and operations running smoothly. You’ll work closely with teams across the company to support our employees, manage key tools like Rippling and Lattice, and ensure compliance with all things HR-related.

If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love solving operational puzzles, and have a passion for people, this role is a great opportunity to grow your career in People Ops at a fast-growing SaaS company and one of the highest-rated salon and spa software companies.

As a People Operations Manager at Mangomint you will:

  • Be employees’ go-to contact on policies, benefits, and day-to-day HR processes

  • Coordinate employee experience programs and engagement touchpoints, including anniversaries, gifting, wellness check-ins

  • Manage the logistics of equipment shipment, tracking, and hardware refreshes

  • Own the onboarding experience from offer acceptance through ramp-up, including system access, equipment, training and documentation

  • Maintain accurate employee records, org structure updates, and compensation changes in Rippling, ensuring data integrity across systems

  • Administer performance management cycles and employee data in Lattice, including template setup and data tracking

  • Monitor and respond to HR-related mail such as tax documents and unemployment notices, escalating as needed

  • Conduct background checks for international hires and manage compliance documentation workflows

  • Identify and implement process improvements and automations across HR tools and workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of HR or People Ops experience, ideally in a fast-paced SaaS or startup environment

  • Proficiency in Rippling (required) and Lattice (preferred), with a track record of managing core workflows in both platforms

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple workflows

  • Excellent communication skills—clear, empathetic, and responsive in both written and verbal interactions

  • Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot issues and make process-driven decisions

  • Strong sense of discretion and trustworthiness in handling confidential information

  • A proactive mindset with a passion for optimizing people processes and improving the employee experience

  • Familiarity with U.S. employment laws, compliance practices, and core HR policies

  • Comfortability navigating multiple tech tools and eagerness to become a subject matter expert in HR systems

  • Bonus Points if you live in MST time zone or are able and willing to work MST hours

What You’ll Love About Mangomint

  • Health, dental, vision, life & LTD insurance

  • Generous monthly wellness budget for gym memberships, yoga, etc.

  • Premium subscription to the Calm app & One Medical membership

  • Flexible and unlimited PTO

  • 401k plan available (no matching)

  • Employee stock option program

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
