About the Role

You will be part of the Accounting team and collaborate regularly with our People Operations team You will work on and help grow a state-of-the-art payroll operations program in a fast-growing environment supporting global payroll.

You will ensure that our daily payroll operations and processes are accurate and timely and that our processes are compliant with internal controls, tax regulations, and applicable labor laws.

You will be the main contact to provide any payroll-related advice for any compensation questions and company expansions in North America and LATAM.

What you will do 

While we encourage you to take on new opportunities that build your skills and create impact, from day one your primary focus will be on the following core responsibilities:

  • Work with the Payroll Team to deliver accurate and timely processing of the Company’s payroll in accordance with country-specific regulations and legislative compliance requirements in the U.S., Canada, and LATAM.
  • Own all critical local payroll processes such as managing global payroll and tax compliance, reviewing country specific payroll returns, tax returns, online filings with tax authorities, 401k, health and other benefit contributions and reporting, and reconciling payroll liability payments, etc.
  • Responsible for Payroll Equity Reporting, ensuring accurate tracking, taxation, and reporting of equity compensation (e.g., ISO, RSUs, ESPP) across all jurisdictions; partner with Stock Administration, HR, Tax, and Accounting to reconcile payroll and equity records.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, promotions, relocation, transfer, and other employee changes.
  • Partner with People Ops to administer Holiday/LOA payment and reporting.
  • Administer 401k, FSA, HSA, Commuter, and other benefit contributions.
  • Assist in the set up of payrolls in new countries or new states to support Company expansion.
  • Manage and complete quarter-end and year-end reporting, including preparation and review of tax forms, balancing, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain and review payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Manage all payroll-related vendors, ensures compliance in all areas of payroll including internal control work, and works directly with employees to resolve outstanding payroll inquiries
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times related to compensation.
  • Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports, including standard and ad hoc reports to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness as required by Accounting, Finance, HR, and Equity Grants. 
  • Provide organized documentation for payroll, 401k, and benefit audits.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining standard operating procedures for payroll processes.
  • Maintain payroll records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay familiar with relevant local regulatory and policy changes and communicate key changes across teams.
  • Perform other functions and duties as required.
Must Haves 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of full-cycle Workday payroll processing experience in the U.S.
  • Experience in setting up payrolls and payroll taxes in new state and locals.
  • Experience of processing payroll in at least 30 states in the U.S.
  • Strong Knowledge of Workday HCM and Payroll; 
  • Systems-savvy and proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspaces.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of producing high-quality work independently.
  • Positive team-player, who can take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills; able to communicate clearly.
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational issues.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies, developing strong relationships globally. 
  • Ability to work on confidential projects of moderate scope in which analysis of situation or equity data requires a detailed and thorough review.
Nice to Have 
  • Experience implementing a global payroll platform.
  • Working knowledge of Onesource Virtual (OSV) is a plus.
  • Experience working in a public traded company.
  • Experience processing in the Canada and LATAM.

Base salary range:
$85,000$100,000 USD
