We are looking to hire a dynamic Payroll Manager to join our company’s accounting department. This role provides strategic, operational and people leadership for our global payroll processes including thought leadership for best in class global payroll and managing all US payroll.
To ensure success as a payroll manager, you should be able to create strategies for the continuous improvement of payroll systems and processes on a global basis. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and managerial skills and the ability to supervise personnel working on payroll and related projects.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Be the subject matter expert for global payroll and help drive initiatives to develop and implement policies and procedures that are consistent and compliant worldwide.
- Directly manage the US payroll operations ensuring compliance and proper treatment of all payroll transactions including but not limited to leave of absence pay, ESPP, stock options, restricted stock and 401(k)
- Partner closely with People Operations team to ensure proper roll out of programs with payroll implications, ensure that that there is proper flow of information between the two groups to facilitate a great employee experience and timely and accurate payrolls.
- Coach payroll personnel to ensure timely and accurate payroll and best in class customer service to our employees
- Audit payroll transactions to ensure that accounts, payment dates and taxes are accurate and up to date
- Create monthly and annual payroll reports, including issuance of W2’s
- Develop KPI’s
- Implement, transform and maintain payroll systems
- Manage 401k audit
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, human resource management or similar field
- At least ten years of progressive payroll experience with five years of management experience
- International payroll experience
- Experience in growing a payroll department in a high growth company with international expansion
- Familiarity with labor legislation and federal and state tax laws
- The ability to ethically work with employee-sensitive data
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with team members
