About the role

This position reports to the Director of Payor Enrollment, Licensing & Credentialing and is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the Payor Enrollment process. The Payor Enrollment Specialist will ensure efficient operations of billing, collections, and claims processes to maximize revenue and enhance patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Credential/re-credential LifeMD providers with insurance payors (Commercial and/or Medicare/Medicaid payors)
  • Assist with maintaining the credentialing matrices for all LifeMD providers and markets/states
  • Provide follow-up correspondence with insurance payors on a regular basis for all credentialing matters
  • Work with other LifeMD departments to facilitate the onboarding/offboarding of LifeMD providers
  • Assist LifeMD providers with any ancillary credentialing and payor enrollment questions
  • Create, maintain and update insurance payors and credentialing rosters for LifeMD
  • Check insurance payor websites for accurate directory listings and performs regular updates
  • Meet LifeMD expectations for payor application submission on a consistent basis
  • Respond to routine external correspondence. Type memos, and other department forms and documents
  • Handle confidential and non-routine information and maintain provider confidence and protect operations by keeping all provider and LifeMD practice information confidential
  • Work independently, as well as on a team, on special and nonrecurring and ongoing projects at the request of the Director of Payor Enrollment, Licensing & Credentialing, which may include updating Excel spreadsheets or other systems, and disseminating information
  • Maintain reliability, as it is an essential function of the position to report to work on time for scheduled hours, ready for work
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Credentialing Certification, Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of performing payor enrollment and registration functions
  • Strong understanding of payor enrollment functions and processes
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS), and/or Certified Medical Services Management (CPMSM) via NAMSS
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on complex data
  • Proficiency with credentialing software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • High level of proven communication skills, including written, verbal and conceptual presentation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic growth environment
  • Creative problem solver, strategic thinker and team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail
