Description

About Recite Me

In today’s digital age, we believe everyone should be able to access web content in a way that works for them.  Our mission is to make the online world accessible for all.

And we’re not alone in this journey!  Thousands of organizations already use our software to enable greater accessibility for their online content, products, or services.

We’re passionate about our cause and our product.  As we move from scale-up to market leader, we need help to achieve our ambitious plans. Which is why we’re looking for a superstar Partnership Manager to join our commercial team.

About the Role

Our smart and successful teams have, over the years, developed relationships with complementary organizations in a variety of industries and now it is time for us to create the role of Partnerships Manager in order to grow the number of partners we have, and maximize the revenue potential of the existing network.

It all starts with getting to know our product and the market.  Working closely with our Sales and Marketing teams you’ll get to know the sectors and markets in which we operate and in which there are the greatest opportunities for partner relationships.

Using your savvy and sales acumen to nurture interest and turn ‘good’ relationships into revenue generating partnerships.  Then it’s all about drive and influence, establishing and then managing a partner channel full of referral and reseller opportunities for our sales team to close.  Removing barriers to doing mutually beneficial deals quickly or at scale.

Here are a few of the core aspects of the role – remember though, this is a new position, and you will play a big part in building out what the role is and what it becomes.

We’ll provide product training of course but we anticipate you will need to demonstrate suitable experience of the following

  • Hunting and developing new partner leads, identifying where the value lies (for both parties), building relationships and understanding the drivers for doing business with us.
  • Requirement-gathering – show that you’re capable of identifying product or partner fit, able to remove objections, ask great questions, share knowledge and influence for a positive outcome
  • Presenting – initially to the partner, and often to their networks/customers
  • Building and managing a pipeline of partner opportunities, working with the Sales team to forecast likely/potential outcomes accurately and pivot activity accordingly
  • Negotiating - you are comfortable talking price and value.  You are used negotiating with current partners as well as potential new ones
  • Great storytelling, capable of composing engaging content with an understanding what is relevant to a given audience (and why)
  • Managing technical discussions with 3rd parties to establish software integrations would be advantageous
  • Excellent time-management and strong project planning - being able to prioritize key tasks, manage multiple conversations and never letting an opportunity slip

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
