Description

TuxCare is seeking an experienced, connected, and strategic-minded Partnerships Manager to drive new business opportunities by forming high-impact alliances with Software Composition Analysis (SCA) and Application Security (AppSec) vendors like Snyk, Sonatype, GitHub, JFrog, and others.

This role is critical to our strategy of embedding TuxCare’s security offerings deeper into the software supply chain and expanding our reach through resell, OEM, and technical partnerships.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify, initiate, and grow strategic partnerships with SCA vendors, AppSec platforms, and developer security ecosystems.

  • Collaborate with TuxCare’s product and marketing teams to create joint value propositions, integration points, and co-marketing plans.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for partner relationships – from initial outreach to negotiation to launch and ongoing success.
  • Build internal alignment around partnership opportunities, helping prioritize technical and GTM efforts for strategic partners.
  • Track industry trends and emerging players in the AppSec space to identify new collaboration opportunities.
Requirements

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Development, Partnerships, or Alliances in the AppSec, DevSecOps, or Developer Tools space.
  • A network of relationships with SCA and security vendor BD/product leaders is a major plus.
  • Strong understanding of how SCA tools work, and how TuxCare’s offerings complement the security ecosystem.
  • Experience negotiating reseller, OEM, or integration partnerships, ideally in a high-growth or open source company.
  • A mix of technical fluency and business acumen – you can speak to both product managers and executives.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex deals, build internal alignment, and drive toward long-term wins.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; you’re a connector who thrives on building trust and delivering mutual value.

Bonus Points

  • Prior experience working with or at companies like Snyk, Sonatype, GitHub, GitLab, JFrog, Veracode, Checkmarx, or WhiteSource.
  • Familiarity with secure software supply chain initiatives (e.g., OpenSSF, SBOM adoption).
  • Understanding of OSS licensing, support models, and value-added security services.
Benefits

What's in it for you?

  • A strong focus on professional development with opportunities for learning and growth:
    • Interesting and challenging projects,
    • Mentor and other knowledge-exchange programs,
  • Fully remote work with flexible working hours, that allows you to schedule your day and work from any location worldwide;
  • Paid 24 days of vacation per year, 10 days of national holidays, and unlimited sick leaves to ensure you maintain a healthy work-life balance;
  • Compensation for private medical insurance;

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
