Manage end-to-end partner communications, prospect and onboard new payment partners, maintain strategic relationships, and act as a California-based US presence to accelerate partnerships and business outcomes.
About us:
BetterMe — a global wellness ecosystem empowering millions to become better — physically, mentally, and emotionally. We build what makes people better and keep challenging ourselves to inspire others.
We are looking for a Partnership Manager with excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset who will perform all responsibilities only from within California.
Your impact:
- Own end-to-end communication with new and existing partners — including payment providers — driving conversations forward and delivering agreed outcomes independently, without escalation.
- Proactively prospect and reach out to high-priority partners we have no direct network connection with, converting cold outreach into qualified meetings.
- Maintain warm, consistent relationships with strategically important partners who are not in the immediate pipeline, ensuring they feel valued and engaged for the long term.
- Build and expand BetterMe's payment partner network across the US and globally, identifying and onboarding new payment providers that support our growth.
- Serve as a local US presence for partner communications, enabling faster, more effective collaboration with American counterparts across time zones and business cultures.
About you:
- 4+ years of experience in a business development or partnership management role within the tech or banking/financial services industry.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English, including in a US business environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills: you know how to build trust, listen actively, and advocate for your position when it matters.
- Proven ability to manage multiple partner relationships simultaneously, prioritising effectively and delivering results with minimal oversight.
- Result-oriented mindset with a track record of converting outreach and negotiations into tangible business outcomes.
Nice to have:
- Hands-on experience working with online payments, payment gateways, or payment infrastructure.
- Existing network within the US payments or fintech ecosystem.
- Experience navigating partnership cycles in a fast-paced, product-led company.
Hiring Process:
- Recruiter Interview — 45 min
- Test Task
- Hiring Manager Interview — 1–1.5 h
- Bar Raiser Interview — 1 h
- Legal Check

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.
Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech
- Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
