Note: Relocation assistance is not provided.
The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company's regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
Your Responsibilities
As a UIUC Part Time Student for John Deere World Headquarters located in Champaign, IL, you will:

  • Collaborate with senior-level developers to create internal and customer-facing solutions using low-code and hybrid-code platforms.
  • Utilize generative AI tools to enhance and automate business processes.
  • Develop metrics dashboards for internal and external stakeholders to help make better data-driven decisions regarding the governance and maintenance of enterprise-level tools.
  • Leverage low-code, hybrid-code, and pro-code platforms to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve business and technical needs.


This position is NOT available to students on immigration visas
What Skills You Need

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, SQL, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
  • Familiarity with GenAI prompting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • A self-starter with good time management and communication skills.
  • A strong desire to learn new concepts.
  • Ability to work 16-20 hours per week during the academic year
  • Ability to work 30-40 hours during the summer semester
  • Ability to commute to Champaign, IL on a daily/regular basis

$15 - $40 hourly based on published rates for business function and education level.
