THE ROLE
We’re in search of a best-in-class Paid Social Video Editor & Content Creator—someone who lives and breathes performance creative and is ready to help Thrive Market scale its most critical growth channel. This is not your typical editor role. We're looking for a hybrid strategist, editor, copywriter, and occasional on-camera talent who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment and knows what it takes to create thumb-stopping, high-converting social ads that drive real business results. This is a thinker/doer role that requires regular trend-forward thinking, ideating, scripting, producing, video editing (Adobe Premiere), and collaboration across teams.
This person will sit on the Member Growth Creative team, helping us concept, produce, and build content across TikTok, Meta, Snap, and YouTube paid advertising. You’ll work closely with creative strategists, growth marketers, and production teams to deliver content that performs, elevates the brand, and furthers our mission.
We are looking someone who is:
- A performance-first creator who gets excited about making ads that actually convert—not just look pretty
- Obsessed with social-first storytelling and platform nuances (especially TikTok, Meta, and Snap)
- Equal parts editor + writer + strategist. You don’t need someone to write your scripts or tell you what makes a good hook—you already know
- A creative thinker who’s not afraid to pitch bold, weird, or experimental ideas—but knows how to tie them to the business
Fast, scrappy, and adaptable. You love a quick turnaround and know how to prioritize for performance
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Think like a strategist: Translate business goals and briefs into high-performing ad concepts that resonate with target audiences.
- Edit scroll-stopping video ads: Use expert-level pacing, structure, and visual storytelling to craft paid social ads with strong hooks, quick cuts, clear CTAs, and a direct-response mindset.
- Write copy that converts: Develop on-screen text, headlines, and scripts that are optimized for platform, brand voice, and performance.
- Act as talent when needed: Be comfortable jumping in front of the camera or recording VO for UGC-style content and lo-fi ads.
- Stay on top of trends: Stay ahead of social media trends, platform updates, and cultural moments, proactively integrating them into content that resonates with the brand audiences across TikTok, Meta, Snap, and YouTube.
- Iterate quickly and effectively: Test, learn, and optimize based on performance data; know what to scale, what to kill, and how to make a good concept great.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with strategists, copywriters, designers, and performance marketers to bring best-in-class paid ads to life from concept through post.
- Organized and and timely: Manage and maintain a streamlined content workflow, ensuring timely execution of deliverables across multiple projects
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of experience editing and creating high-performing paid social content (ideally for DTC or eComm brands)
- A strong portfolio of direct-response social ads that showcase your ability to hook, convert, and perform—especially on TikTok and Meta
- Expert-level proficiency in Premiere Pro, CapCut, and other editing tools; experience with After Effects is a plus
- Proven ability to write your own hooks, scripts, and on-screen copy
- Comfortable working on a remote-hybrid schedule in the Los Angeles area (most days remote, with in-person shoots 1-2x/month)
- Familiarity with performance creative testing frameworks (hook testing, versioning, UGC vs studio, etc.)
- Ideal candidate has experience as on-camera talent, VO artist, or UGC-style content creator
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines while maintaining quality of deliverables
- Self-driven, adaptable, and eager to push creative boundaries
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into effective ad strategies
BELONG TO A BETTER COMPANY
- Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, life and disability)
- Competitive salary (DOE) + equity
- 401k Employer Match
- 9 Days of Observed Holidays
- Flexible Paid Time Off
- Subsidized ClassPass Membership with access to fitness classes and wellness and beauty experiences
- Ability to work in our beautiful co-working space at WeWork in Playa Vista and other locations
- Free Thrive Market membership with exclusive employee discount
- Coverage for Life Coaching & Therapy Sessions on our holistic mental health and well-being platform

With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.
Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech
- Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
