THE ROLE
We’re looking for a high-impact on-camera content creator who can bring Thrive Market’s brand and mission to life through relatable, authentic, and high-performing video content. You should be deeply fluent in social trends, confident on camera, and skilled at creating organic-feeling storytelling that’s optimized for performance and conversion. Our core audience are health conscious mothers between the ages of 30-45, so our ideal creator is someone who feels relatable to that audience—think millennial mom who gets what modern families are juggling and can connect with viewers in a way that builds trust. Whether you're narrating a morning routine, talking through your favorite kid snacks, or sharing your grocery tips, you know how to build a hook, hold attention, and land the message—all while feeling natural, not scripted.
This is a contract position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Film authentic, short-form content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Meta Ads with a confident, friendly, and relatable presence
- Serve as the on-camera face for ad concepts that range from storytelling to problem/solution to testimonial-style UGC
- Write and refine your own scripts or VO copy that follows direct response (not organic social) media best practices
- Take raw ideas or briefs and transform them into watchable, scroll-stopping videos with strong hooks, a clear narrative, and a compelling CTA
- Incorporate social trends and native platform behavior into your content to feel of the moment
- Collaborate with our creative and strategy teams to align your content with performance data and business goals
- Shoot lo-fi content on your phone and perform basic video edits using tools like CapCut or Premiere
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2–5 years experience in social-first content creation (for influencer work or DTC companies)
- Strong on-camera presence with a portfolio of short-form video content (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to write or adapt ad copy, especially for VO or UGC-style content
- Proficiency with editing tools like CapCut or Premiere Pro
- Understanding of performance creative and what makes people watch, click, and convert
- Comfortable filming from home or in natural environments that feel authentic and lifestyle-driven
- Willingness to iterate quickly based on performance data and creative testing
- Confident and comfortable on camera—warm, relatable, and polished without sounding like a spokesperson
- A natural storyteller who knows how to speak directly to the viewer, build trust quickly, and get to the point
- Tuned into what’s trending on TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts—both in culture and content format
- Familiar with direct-response content structure: hooks, problem/solution framing, social proof, strong CTAs
- Organized, self-sufficient, and able to take a creative brief and run with it without heavy oversight
- Bonus:
- You’re a mom who’s willing to show snippets of real life (kid-friendly meals, lunch-packing chaos, or snack drawer reveals) as part of your storytelling
- Familiarity with creative performance metrics and testing frameworks (e.g., hook testing, A/B versioning) and/or experience working with family, parenting, wellness, or lifestyle brands
CONTRACT DETAILS
- This is a part-time, contract position, 20 hours a week
- Compensation details: $44-$49/hr
At Thrive Market, we value diversity and inclusion, and we are proud to foster an environment that embraces it. We expect that all individuals contracting for Thrive Market would agree.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene
Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.
Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech
- Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
- Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
- Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
- Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
