PAID MEDIA LEAD, DIGITAL MEDIA (STARLINK)

Engineered and operated by SpaceX, Starlink delivers high-speed, low-latency internet to users all over the world. The Paid Digital Media Lead will be responsible for active day-to-day management of global paid media campaigns for Starlink’s business-to-consumer and business-to-business products. This will include the development of campaign strategies, initial campaign setup, ongoing optimizations, creative and copy development, and delivering performance reporting. This role requires the ability to operate on both a strategic and tactical level with a desire to drive efficient campaign results through the use of data analysis and testing while collaborating with a team of stakeholders across marketing, product, and finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive and optimize global paid media campaigns based on CAC and LTV, through various digital marketing channels, including search, social, display, and videos
  • Own campaign management from end to end – manage audience targeting and segmentation, keyword research, competitive analysis, messaging, creative, measurement, and reporting
  • Drive creative asset ideation, and optimization with our internal creative team and creative agency
  • Develop experimentation roadmap to improve performance and uncover new opportunities, including running structured A/B testing and channel lift testing to determine the incrementality of digital media strategies and channels
  • Monitor campaign performance and pacing against business goals, develop performance reporting, ad hoc analysis, and campaign recommendations to drive incremental growth
  • Establish channel forecasts and budget recommendations to adjust campaign strategies based on learnings and opportunities
  • Maintain relationship with digital ad platforms and third-party vendor

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in performance media, paid social, paid display, and paid search in e-commerce or verticals with performance/direct response objectives

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Deep understanding of paid media (all channels) and strong knowledge of the media industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, e-commerce, or a related field
  • 5+ years of direct, hands-on experience managing media buying, optimization, and strategic planning preferably for paid search and display channels
  • Knowledge of what works across Google Search and Google Display platforms and experience in multi-channel marketing strategy
  • Experience with analytics platforms like Google Analytics
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills; must be very comfortable with data analysis and able to use data to make decisions
  • Experience with user-based or geographic lift testing, structured A/B or multivariate ad copy, and/or landing page testing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills while addressing various stakeholders across creative, content, marketing, product, and finance teams
  • The ideal candidate should be able to present business cases, document models, analyses, and results to influence important decisions
  • Ability to embrace rapid iterations rooted in a culture that sets demanding goals and moves extremely fast

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to work in office five days per week
  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends, as needed
  • Willingness to travel to other SpaceX locations and events, as needed

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:         
Level I: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00/per year         
Level II: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00/per year         

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Employees accrue paid sick leave pursuant to Company policy which satisfies or exceeds the accrual, carryover, and use requirements of the law.
