The role may also involve AI-driven CNC programming and production software used across SpaceX teams.

Develop reliable full-stack software for SpaceX’s advanced machine shop and manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include designing, testing, deploying, and rapidly creating web applications, AI solutions, CNC automation, and machine-control software. The engineer will improve production cycle times, solve user problems, and contribute to architecture, design, and code reviews. Experience with manufacturing is not required.

Manage PCB sourcing and supplier relationships for Starlink satellite production. Automate toil, manage node lifecycles and resources, support incident response and on-call operations, conduct capacity planning, and collaborate with HPC systems engineers and internal users to deliver reliable, maintainable infrastructure.

Develops analytical tools, process models, capacity and production plans, and performance metrics for Starshield operations. Identifies root causes, mitigates launch and production risks, optimizes resources and processes, and supports strategic decisions through operations research, data analysis, simulation, and cross-functional collaboration. The role also manages best practices, space-planning models, and improvements across supply chain, engineering, accounting, and production teams.

Analyze cross-functional business data using SQL and AI tools, integrate data sources, improve data quality and workflows, and build Power BI or similar dashboards.
