Commercial & Industrial Sales Representative - Outside Sales

Location - Santa Clara CA (including San Jose and Silicon Valley)

This role has a competitive base plus uncapped bonus, company car and gas card

Job Summary: The Commercial & Industrial Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive the growth of Culligan’s commercial and industrial water treatment solutions. This role requires a proactive, results-oriented individual who can identify and secure new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and target potential commercial and industrial customers in the region, with a focus on industries such as manufacturing, food and beverage, healthcare, and hospitality.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand Culligan’s market share in the commercial and industrial sectors.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their specific water treatment needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Work closely with engineering and technical teams to ensure the correct design and implementation of water treatment systems that meet customer requirements.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present detailed proposals, including pricing, product specifications, and timelines, to prospective customers.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, service, and operations, to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline in the CRM system. Provide regular updates to management on sales performance and market conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in the water treatment industry or a related technical field selling into commercial and industrial customers - preferably selling technical products or capital equipment etc.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of water treatment processes, systems, and technologies used in commercial and industrial applications.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
  • Sales Skills: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and closing deals in a competitive market.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to assess customer needs and develop effective solutions that address their specific challenges.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel within the designated sales territory as needed.
