THE JOB:

As the VP, Operations your primary responsibilities will be to oversee RepairSmith’s offline operations, including Delivery Operations and Customer Service as well as management of regional operation hubs. You will ensure that RepairSmith’s strategic vision is executed in a highly efficient, measurable and scalable manner. You will grow and manage a high-performing national team and strongly collaborate across the entire organization. 

WE WILL DEPEND ON THIS PERSON TO:

  • Drive the efficiency of RepairSmith’s car repair delivery service by optimizing dispatch operations and building strategies and procedures to match supply and demand in each local market
  • Standardize operations across existing local markets, and create an operating model for how best to operationally launch new markets
  • Provide input to the product and technology teams to improve internal systems which allow scalability and efficient growth of operations
  • Increasing average repair order value and conversion by leading our Repair Advisor team with best sales practices and customer feedback
  • Overseeing the quality of our customer success team to best meet our customer needs
  • Establish and manage regional operations hubs (key hires, procedural design, systems and performance metrics) including operational management of fleet and location based services
  • Advancement of recruiting strategies, hiring guidelines and job specifications for our operations delivery and customer success workforce
  • Measure the impact and efficiency of current processes, and identify new ways to create value to the business
  • Oversee the purchasing and supply management operations for parts, tools and vehicles
  • Working cross-functionally with teams to align with top priorities, defining monthly goals and identifying KPI's for your team
  • Facilitate and motivate teams to produce innovative solutions that meet customer needs within tight time frames and contribute to building a positive work environment

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university is required; MBA or MSc is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in high growth operations. Knows what it takes to scale a well-funded startup.
  • Industry experience in automotive, mobility, home services, or delivery related businesses
  • Experience overseeing and growing customer-related operations including customer service and field services
  • Deep understanding of logistics optimization and process improvement, and ability to ensure process adherence
  • Experience in supply chain and procurement procedures
  • Strong understanding of IT and systems development (build vs buy, specification writing, etc) to automate existing manual processes
  • Ability to analyze operations performance through business intelligence across various data sources.
  • Experience recruiting and managing a national workforce of hourly employees and ability to work with remote teams across time zones to develop strategies and foster a cohesive and creative work environment
  • Strong ability to manage and motivate staff through excellent communication, organization and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel (10-20%)
  • Have the entrepreneurial spirit needed to help shape our startup company’s identity
