Vice President of Retail

Reformation is looking for a strategic, results-oriented, people-focused, leader to oversee and grow the retail function. Obsessed with creating a unique interaction between our employees, customers, and the Reformation brand, they will lead and direct all efforts required to achieve all Retail channel goals.    

Reformation currently has 18 stores across the US, 1 in Canada, and 1 in the UK. Retail is a significant focus for future company growth. 


What You’ll Do:

PEOPLE & CULTURE

  • Display a dedicated approach to motivate, develop and retain talent
  • Strategically position talent for future growth and expansion; build clear professional development plans and opportunities 
  • Lead a growing retail team and fosters a people first, success-oriented, accountable environment
  • Oversee training and development of retail team members directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions.
  • Promote diversity in the workplace and ensure recruiting and development strategies attract and grow a diverse pool of candidates.
  • Coach and develop direct and indirect reports. Empower team members with accountability and ownership. 
  • Build, drive, and protect a rewarding and engaging culture where an appreciation for tradition is balanced with a passion for continuous improvement. Drive our values that reward, promote, and encourage high performance while ensuring we always do the right thing for our people.
  • Encourage a high level of trust and transparency across all levels and functions.

  • Build stronger connection between corporate and store teams through improved communications and feedback channels 
  • Work closely with the field team to ensure productive and positive working environments across all locations 

Represent the needs and interests of the retail team and business at corporate and in the Leadership setting when making company decisions 


CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

  • Create a consistent in-store experience for customers across the retail field; Work with field leaders to ensure store experience meets expectations 
  • Identify future customer opportunities by understanding product and service requirements
  • Roll-out new store technologies that improve the customer experience with cross-functional teams


OPERATIONS

  • Work with Retail Ops team to ensure operations and logistics activities support in-store performance
  • Oversee all new store opens with cross-functional coordination and teamwide communication
  • Work with Retail Ops team to build and uphold seamless store operational procedures
  • Control channel expenses and maintain budgets on a monthly and annual basis


SALES GENERATION & BUSINESS GROWTH

  • Own and manage the retail P&L across all locations
  • Deliver weekly business reports that offer fact-based summaries of performance and facilitate decision-making; Understand key performance indicators and correlating behaviors to impact each driver
  • Build business cases to support all new business ideas and retail extension opportunities
  • Support the new store expansion process with real estate development and market analysis

What You’ll Need:

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time across the US

We have 2 offices in Los Angeles: In a trendy outdoor mall at The Platform in Culver City with great restaurants and cafes and in Vernon.
