This position is remote-optional. We are open to remote candidates located anywhere in the US. Bliss Point Media has offices in Santa Monica, Berkeley, and New York City.

The Role

As a leader of the media team, you will be critical to our success by ensuring our media buying and account management are operating smoothly and efficiently, as well as ensuring future growth for the agency by strategically scaling inventory sources and revenue streams. Your passion for media is infectious and you are ready to leverage your skills within the linear TV, streaming video/audio, and programmatic channels while also growing the media team as the company continues to onboard new accounts.

• Manage direct reports, including the following roles: senior media strategists and media managers, developing growth opportunities for staff
• Collaborate with leadership to strategize, develop and execute growth opportunities for the agency
• Analyze, negotiate and monitor upfront deals with our largest media partners
• Maintain and develop relationships with media partners, working as a point of escalation for any issues
• Ongoing buy management and strategic stewardship of campaigns across 1-2 key clients. Includes active participation on clients calls
• Develop and implement special project-based work across a variety of clients and internal initiatives
• Stay current on TV/OTT trends in order to provide media recommendations and new opportunities based on industry knowledge

Background & Competencies

• 5+ years experience media planning and buying in the video space. Audio a plus.
• Expert knowledge of the DRTV marketplace. Experience with hybrid and/or brand planning and buying a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, lead, and mentor team members
• Strategic thinker with ability to analyze data to help make buying decisions
• Very organized, exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
• Self-starter who enjoys learning, asking questions, and working in a collaborative environment
• Approaches internal marketing of new media opportunities with strategic application
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e. basic formulas, filtering, pivot tables)
• Strong business writing skills and experienced at giving presentations (PowerPoint, Keynote, Prezi, etc)
• Excellent time management skills among multiple tasks against hard deadlines

Bliss Point Media is a startup, and we’re looking for someone who finds that exciting rather than intimidating. We’re profitable and will offer a competitive total compensation package to the right candidates, with a salary starting at $180K depending on skills and experience.
