We are currently seeking a hardworking, highly-motivated, detail-oriented Senior Merchandising Manager. This role sits within Tradesy’s Merchandising Team, but also works closely with the Marketing & Trust department to help monitor the authenticity and overall quality of item listings. Responsibilities include curating trends and collections, managing a database of fashion brands, selecting products to feature in special promotions, and helping to build the world’s greatest fashion resale site into a global brand. The ideal candidate should be extremely well-versed in fashion trends and luxury brands with the ability to fuse metrics with brand aesthetic. 

This role reports directly to the Head of Merchandising.

You will:

  • Be responsible for ensuring that merchandise is presented in a way that optimizes the customer shopping experience, reflects the Tradesy brand, and maximizes business results on our website.
  • Work with Marketing & Creative to help plan the Marketing calendar based on seasonal trends, inventory levels, and historical data.
  • Use a database of millions of items to organize, grade, curate, and group items into seasonal and style trends for features and sales.
  • Review new arrivals daily to vet images, titles, curate top picks, and rate listing quality 
  • Choose products to feature in promotional campaigns (must have an eye for great designer fashion at opportunistic prices), with a metric driven approach.
  • Partner with Marketing to maximize merchandising opportunities in all digital marketing channels.
  • Work with cross-functional team and external partners (UI, Design, Tech) to drive ongoing improvements to merchandising tools and platform design. 
  • Create style guides to be utilized for item tagging efforts.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a talented team of Merchandising associates.

You have:

  • 5 + years experience in merchandising, fashion, or related field
  • Successful e-commerce fashion full-time work experience (5+ years preferred)
  • Prior management experience (3+ years preferred) 
  • Experience developing and deploying product merchandising in an online environment
  • A passion for & knowledge of seasonal fashion trends and relevant brands
  • General understanding of CMS, database, Google docs, etc, and fluency with standard-issue website admin tools
  • Customer-centric mind-set, constantly seeking ways to improve the shopping, buying and post-purchase experience
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal
