We’re looking for a Manager, Sales Engineering, Overlay to join Procore’s Sales Engineering team. In this role, you’ll oversee members of Procore’s Sales Engineering team composed of construction experts and tenured sales engineers. You’ll provide mentorship and coaching, establish best practices, and manage team performance. 

As a Manager, Sales Engineering, Overlay, you’ll partner with Account Executives, providing all necessary technical pre-sales support across the global business. Use your leadership skills and revenue-generation knowledge to lead our field to product feedback loop processes to maintain open lines of communication and progress. Successful candidates are excited to drive a high-performance, high-accountability culture to meet and exceed sales goals. 

This position will report to our Senior Manager, Sales Acceleration, and has the opportunity to be located in any of our US office locations or remotely within the US. We’re looking for candidates to join us immediately.

What you'll do:

  • Recruit, train, and enable Overlay Sales Engineers to support the needs of Procore’s sales organization
  • Lead the Sales Engineering to Product and Technology Feedback Loop, ensuring the field gives input on product direction and communicating important updates back to the team
  • Help establish best practices around demoing, objection handling, storytelling, and ROI conversations
  • Lead team to create thought leadership pieces on their specialization
  • Train other Sales Engineering and Sales teams on product updates and use cases
  • Establish SME programs for each product covered by the overlay team
  • Partner with Sales leadership to develop strategic and technical account plans
  • Partner with Strategic Sales teams to better plan strategy for closure
  • Support development of the Sales team through internal training
  • Maintain a current understanding of Procore’s target market technical requirements and trends

What we’re looking for

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in technical B2B sales, SaaS preferred; and/or 3+ years of experience implementing complex SaaS technology solutions
  • 1+ years in a management or sales leadership role with direct reports
  • Experience managing a vertical Sales Engineer team or working in vertical Saas is a plus
  • Proven technical aptitude utilizing tools and software on a daily basis
  • Ability to challenge and lead team members towards peak performance
  • Understanding and or strong interest in developing a working knowledge of enterprise technology environments, including storage, database, data warehousing, data integration, data analytics, and security
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred), MS Office, and Google Applications
  • Construction experience or knowledge a plus
