About The Role:

We are looking for individuals who can work and be responsible for marketplace operations on site and/or on-call during after hours (the after-hours shift currently runs and covers weekdays 5pm-5am and weekends 24/7). As such, we are looking for candidates that can be flexible with their work schedule to accommodate business needs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage all aspects of transit from origin to destination
  • Interface with logistics partners to coordinate shipments
  • Shepherd clients through the complexities of transit
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure the highest level of service possible
  • Point-of-contact for customers and carriers
  • Identify growth opportunities and provide feedback from drivers
  • Lead work-streams that span multiple departments at Next and also work with external contacts to resolve issues
  • Ensure quality control and data integrity across all processes
  • Use your quantitative skills to identify opportunities to improve the way we work with customers and the structure of our internal processes with the goal of driving operational excellence
  • Define, implement and measure improvements to our operational processes
  • Lead executions, collect data, analyze insights and provide recommendations for key projects aimed at improving Next operational team
  • Guide and help drivers to real-time problem solve with issues they are facing via text, phone or email in a timely and appropriate manner


What You’ll Have:

  • 3 - 5 years of work experience in supply chain, operations, customer success, or logistics
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • An obsession with customer and carrier success; you succeed when they succeed
  • Next-level attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Courage to challenge the status quo when logic and reason require it
  • Empowered proactive problem solving
  • A mastery of email communication; you keep the inbox at zero
  • Well-versed and comfortable w/ Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Zendesk and computer navigation systems
  • Ability and willingness to work during after-hours shift and flexibility to accommodate business changes
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
