What we are looking for…

An Operations Manager that will be responsible for managing key vendor relationships and navigating any changes associated with these vendors. This person will develop and design the operational processes for our vendor management team, using excellent communication and critical thinking skills in order to facilitate collaborative relationships in a fast-paced environment. The Operations Manager will oversee organizational contract development, negotiation and management activities and act as the main point of contact for third-party vendors. 

What you’ll do…

• Manage day-to-day relationships with in-market service provider networks and partners. 
• Oversee and negotiate contract execution for assigned new vendor relationships and renewals.
• Develop standards and strategies for contract negotiation and serve as the primary organizational contact during the contract negotiation process. 
• Create and implement incentive programs for underperforming vendors.
• Act as the liaison for key vendors and select implementation projects. 
• Lead daily, weekly and monthly communication with vendors and third-party service providers. 
• Collect data to measure and track success and optimize processes. 
• Serve as primary lead on vendor and service network recruiting.
• Monitor inquiries regarding service escalations to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive vendor performance measures. 
• Keep a pulse on local market property operations to ensure new property services are held to AvantStay standards.

What you’ll bring…

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• Experience in the real estate and/or hospitality industries
• 4+ years experience in operations and vendor relationship management 
• Prior experience in a contract negotiation role or capacity required
• Outstanding negotiation and persuasive skills; passion for and ability to develop and execute negotiation strategies that minimize potential losses and benefit AvantStay’s financial performance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow you to build vendor relationships and improve and expand upon strategic service offerings
• Experience leveraging cross-functional stakeholders in order to execute high-impact projects
• Proven quantitative abilities to decipher process improvement needs within a dataset
• Ability to take ownership in a fast-paced environment and deep dive ambiguous problems
• A self-starter with a high attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
