Job Summary:
As an Operations Excellence Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the growth and success of Ruggable. You will be a data-driven, strategic problem solver and innovative thinker across the Operations organization. More specifically, you will lead projects that support Supply Chain and Manufacturing in building a world class operation with optimized processes and data-driven decision making. Your day-to-day will include both developing tools, reports, metrics and strategic analyses, as well as working closely with Operations stakeholders to understand existing processes, solicit user requirements and support implementation of operational improvements.
What You’ll Do:
- Build and maintain Operations tools to inform near and long-term planning and day-to-day-management
- Develop data-driven models, analyses and reports, creating actionable insights to inform strategic decisions and process improvements
- Translate ambiguous strategic questions into structured, hypothesis-driven decisions that are informed by data-backed models and tools
- Collaborate with Operations stakeholders to understand existing processes, solicit user requirements and request feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Lead and/or support a variety of projects and initiatives within Operations Excellence; examples include:
- Design the Operations planning process from high-level network production to individual teams
- Create labor planning tools to translate production planning into tactical staffing plans based on team member skill sets
- Develop sale planning strategies based on forecasts from Marketing and Operations and lead time targets
- Create simple, actionable efficiency metrics throughout the entire production process to highlight areas for improvement
- Develop a monthly plant performance report to highlight key metrics, improvement areas and trends
- Improve weekly KPI reporting to ensure we have the right metrics with the right targets that drive the right behaviors
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
- 3+ years of professional experience working in supply chain, logistics, operations, analytics, business intelligence, reporting, investment banking or consulting
- Excellent proficiency with Google Sheets / Excel, including advanced formulas and model construction
- Experience conducting quantitative analyses of large, unstructured data sets that drive to insights and ensure accuracy
- Ability to solicit user requirements from multiple stakeholder groups and translate those requirements into metrics, reports, tool features, etc.
- Strong relationship development skills with ability to quickly become a trusted thought partner across Operations teams
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Previous experience working at a high-growth company
- Experience utilizing and/or building dashboards (i.e., Tableau, Looker, Google Sheets)
- Experience using Google Scripts
