What we are looking for…

An Operations Associate, Vendor Relations who is detail oriented, organized, creative, and has experience with vendor sourcing plus management. This person will be responsible for sourcing, onboarding, and working with contracted vendors required for property maintenance across all AvantStay markets. The Operations Associate, Vendor Relations will need to be passionate about the optimal guest experience and use that passion to influence their push for onboarding ideal vendors. This person will have a great attention to detail, and an innovative spirit. The ideal candidate is a strategic and creative operator who can work with the Operations Manager, Vendor Relations to scale our maintenance program across all AvantStay properties.

What you’ll do…

• Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that maintenance requirements are met with professional and quality vendors in all AvantStay markets
• Recruits, onboards, and reports the performance of AvantStay vendors
• Identifies and develops new strategies to recruit and onboard new vendors
• Standardize and audit the accuracy of data related to vendor relations
• Help the Vendor Relations Manager collect, organize, and present data as needed
• Act as the point of contact for vendors related to limited topics
• Become an SME for all things vendor relations and property maintenance
• Work with internal stakeholders including but not limited to the Vendor Relations Manager, Field Operations team, Product team, Onboarding team, Market Launch team, etc. to execute vendor operational strategy
• Document quotes from vendors and document appropriately in Salesforce or internal databases
• Performs other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned

What you'll bring...

• 1+ year experience in vendor management, vendor sourcing, or services procurement
• Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field
• Positive attitude and ability to work with a variety of different vendors and people
• Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders
• Desire to become deeply knowledgeable about a varied group of subjects pertaining to property maintenance
• Must be US based and willing to work some weekends and some evenings full time.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and collaborative skills.
• Comfortable working in a very fast-paced environment.
• A perfectionist, attentive to all the details.
• Focused, hard-working and willing to do what it takes for us to reach the next stage.
• Experience in real estate, hospitality and/or tech is a plus.
• Ability to understand and convey both business issues and technical concepts
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Capable of quickly learning new software systems
• Ability to demonstrate a high-level of understanding regarding short-term rental and hospitality industries
