WHY WE NEED YOU

 

As the Manager II - Logistics at Virgin Hyperloop, you will execute planning, coordinating, and monitoring of logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory, transportation, import/export and FTA. You will apply proven communication, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills to enhance Virgin Hyperloop's performance through Logistics execution.
 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Inbound and outbound global transportation logistics
  • Review pricing tariffs with carriers; initiate bids and manages negotiations for freight contracts and tariffs
  • Manages the process of review, audit, and approval of inbound and outbound freight invoices for payment
  • Tracks supplier shipping activities in support of VHO requirements and verify that daily plans, shipping schedules, and transportation requirements are being met
  • Nurtures a good working relationship with all international freight forwarders in order to get the most cost-efficient ocean and air rates
  • Manages all documentation for international shipments including packing slips, commercial invoices, BOL’s, Airway Bills, ASN’s, Delivery Orders, Cargo Clearance Documentation
  • Executes Standard Operating Procedures for international and domestic shipping activities by overseeing sign-off and implementation by both internal and external stakeholders
  • Assures that shipments are prepared in accordance with laws and regulations of domestic and international transportation authorities
  • Manage transportation, inventory and warehousing for all production and engineering materials
  • Keep track of stock both production and engineering, transportation costs and efficiency
  • Manage Logistics costs and budgets 
WHAT YOU'VE DONE
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, transportation, or engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in logistics, warehouse, and transportation operations
  • Deep understanding of the Uniform Commercial Code, U.S. Government FAR, DFARS and ITAR requirements
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated skill in using PC with Microsoft Office 
NICE TO HAVE
  • Certifications preferred: A.P.P., C.P.M., CPSM, CSCP, CPIM.
  • IATA certification
  • Battery Shipping
  • Previous experience in a start-up or high growth environment
  • Licensed Customs Broker
