About the role and about You:
Established in 2014 as a tech business, we are now expanding and are in the process of launching a number of at-home fitness products, that Zwift will manufacture and deliver directly to customers all over the world. This is a big and exciting change for us, and because of this, we are looking to build a global Supply Chain team.
This role will be responsible for ensuring our products are imported on time, from suppliers across the globe. We have high ambitions and will be growing quickly, so that is no easy thing to master! You will work closely with our freight forwarding partners and warehouse, to ensure our products are received on time, with the required documentation to breeze through customs.
What you’ll do:
- Your role is to delight our customers with your careful and timely execution of importing and clearing finished products from our global suppliers into the EU/UK warehouses.
- You will make sure that inbound shipments arrive at the right place at the right time and take any
mitigating action if that doesn’t happen. - You will work closely with our freight forwarding partners and logistics teams in China, making sure you have up to date information on any challenges within the Supply Chain.
- You will also collaborate with our domestic warehouses to improve operational efficiencies.
- You will build excellent relationships with local shipping partners, building trust and openness so that they deliver a great service for Zwift, every time!
- You will also work closely with those teams to ensure we continuously look to improve our operational performance; you’ll look for trends and insights and implement ways to make our service better.
What we’re looking for:
- A degree in a supply chain, mathematical, business, engineering or other relevant subject.
- 2+ years in a logistics role, managing the import of products from Asia to the US.
- Experience working with colleagues in global locations.
- You will be able to show examples of managing third party logistics providers, with examples of making improvements and setting up new processes.
- You will understand global shipping requirements
- You have an eye for detail and have experience managing the required paperwork to receive products from China to the right place at the right time.
- You will be a natural problem solver and like looking for ways to make things better.
- You will be an excellent communicator to all levels, with fluent English language skills both spoken and written.
Bonus points:
- Experience within the consumer electronics, electrical or mechanical manufacturing industry.
- Experience working 3PL - third party logistics companies.
- Experience with Netsuite ERP.
