IT Software Specialist

We’re looking for a Software Specialist to join the IT team at Snap Inc. This role is responsible for managing our enterprise software licensing globally. This includes reviewing licensing utilization, interfacing with vendors for upgrades and renewals, and providing data to educate renewal decisions. This role will also work closely with our Asset Management, Purchasing, Productivity Applications, and Operations teams. An ideal candidate will be able to maintain a high level of productivity and attention to detail, plan ahead and flag considerations early, and quickly adapt to changing priorities.
This person must exhibit a high level of professionalism in providing excellent customer service, and exercise sound judgment to provide timely resolution of problems. Additionally, they must maintain excellent relationships with global customers, business partners, vendors, and IT team members.
What you’ll do:
Work with service owners to prepare for annual license renewals
Compile utilization reports for Asset Management, Client Engineering, and Productivity Applications to help drive contract and renewal discussions
Create reports to identify areas for potential cost savings
Update software license assignments and survey employees about ongoing software needs
Review, develop, streamline, and document processes and policies related to software deployment
Suggest ways to improve processes and solve problems related to software license management
Review and operationalize requests to onboard new software types and vendors
Interface with vendors and suppliers for license renewals and true-ups
Assist IT Operations team with questions and escalations related to software deployment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to draw data-based conclusions, and communicate recommendations clearly and concisely
Natural problem solver who enjoys identifying ways to make things better
Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility in managing multiple priorities
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on achieving goals through problem solving and collaboration
Minimum Qualifications:
0-3 years of experience providing support in a professional IT or corporate environment
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Google Sheets or Excel for reporting purposes
Familiarity with enterprise-level software like Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office 365, GSuite, etc.
