IT Client Engineer, Mac
We’re looking for an IT Client Engineer, Mac to join Snap Inc. Working closely with the Information Technology team, you will play a critical role in building and scaling our internal client management infrastructure. You’ll leverage JAMF, Munki, and other tools to design, deliver, and support our global customer base. Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you’ll collaborate with existing IT engineers to keep our customers operating in a safe and efficient environment.
What you’ll do:
Manage our fleet of 4000+ Mac endpoints
Plan, test, and execute software updates and OS updates
Ensure proper patch level compliance and encryption across the Mac environment
Customize and package software, scripts, and applications for global deployment
Architect and support image creation for the desktop support teams
Scope small to medium projects effectively, and drive towards delivery
Handle escalations from IT Operations staff and provide training as necessary
Document and maintain client operating procedures and best practices
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred of equivalent experience
3+ years experience in IT Support or IT Operations
1+ years of experience managing 500+ endpoints as a Client/System Engineer
Experience working with Munki, Chef, AutoPkg, or DEP
Preferred qualifications:
Expert knowledge of Endpoint Management Tools & Practices
Experience managing environments with 1000+ endpoints
Highly familiar with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.
Proficient at scripting (ex. BASH, Apple Script, Powershell, Python)
Networking fundamentals and support experience
Strong knowledge of desktop/enterprise security best practices
CCA, CMA, CJA or similar JAMF training
Other Mac, Linux or Network certifications
LDAP and Active Directory experience
Experience building and maintaining automation pipeline
