IT Asset Specialist

We’re looking for an IT Asset Specialist to join Snap Inc. This role is responsible for maintaining our IT inventory from receiving and counting products through setup and delivery to internal requestors. This role will be expected to ensure that assets are tracked appropriately after they have been received for both the IT Phone Library and Warehouse. An ideal candidate will be able to maintain a high level of productivity and attention to detail while consistently managing the completion of daily tasks.
What you’ll do:
Promptly receive incoming inventory and maintain an impeccable workspace
Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and other IT assets through inventory audits and weekly cycle counts
Suggest ways to improve processes and solve problems
Contribute to asset lifecycle process by assisting with compiling data and preparing assets for donations and decommissions
Build and configure laptops for new hires, break/fix, and upgrades
Prepare mobile phones for deployment and occasionally work with Engineering Device Lab team for remote access solution
Prepare phones, computers, and/or accessories for shipment to remote team members
Ensure in-person helpdesk locations are always stocked with the items needed to keep employees productive
What we're looking for:
0-2 years of professional experience in a technical environment
Knowledgeable in macOS and Windows 10+
Knowledgeable in iOS 10+ and Android 4+
Knowledgeable in Mac and PC Hardware, as well as iPhone and Android Hardware
Process-oriented with strong attention to detail
Natural problem solver who enjoys identifying ways to make things better
Communicates quickly, provides great detail, and isn’t afraid to ask for help
Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility in managing multiple priorities
Self starter that learns quickly, on the fly, and is able to meet deadlines and deliverables
Strong customer focus skills, both in person and written
Some heavy lifting required (ability to lift & carry computer boxes)
Must have legal drivers license
Able to climb ladders
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
Experience in an inventory or warehouse environment preferred
Apple ACMT and/or ACiT certifications are preferred
Experience with Linux Ubuntu is a plus
Familiarity with with enterprise tools such as Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, Slack
Familiarity with MDM platforms such as Casper, Jamf, and VMware Workspace One
Familiarity using some Terminal and simple command line
