About This Role

At Apeel Sciences, we look to nature to help the global food system improve quality, reduce waste, and ensure an abundant future for our planet. Our Customer Integrations function is accountable for ensuring that Apeel commercial programs are launched (e.g., planning, site preparation, equipment installation, commissioning, customer onboarding, operational compliance) out of our domestic and international customer sites in a timely and seamless manner. Customer integrations are highly dynamic and strongly cross-functional in nature. We are seeking a thorough, analytical, execution-oriented, and collaborative leader to serve as of Customer Integrations on our Operations Team. This role works cross-functionally and tactfully across the organization to mobilize and align internal and external resources to enable these business-critical integrations.

What You’ll Do

  • Hold overall accountability for the successful, on-time launch of customer integrations
  • Grow, manage, and lead a global team of Integrations Project Managers who oversee cross-functional Integrations Teams (R&D, Engineering, Product, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Legal, and People & Culture) to plan, execute, and manage customer integrations around the world
  • Optimize use of the company’s collective resources in the planning, execution, and management of integrations
  • Hold the Executive Team, our functional leads, and integrations teams accountable by driving alignment of our overall integration strategy and our portfolio and pipeline of integrations with our business objectives
  • Focus customer-facing teams towards the best solution for the customer’s and Apeel’s business needs, utilizing broad and specialized knowledge to recommend solutions and incorporate new processes, tools, and approaches where appropriate, as well as ensure customer site readiness for Apeel integration
  • Establish best practices and champion continuous improvement and innovation in our integrations approach and execution to gain strategic value and competitive advantage (e.g., reducing timelines, pulling ‘waste’ and bottlenecks out of the integrations processes, and looking for opportunities within the customer’s operations to deliver added value)
  • Able to travel (locally, regionally, internationally) ~ up to 40% of the time

What You Bring

  • Alignment with and passion for the company’s vision, mission, and core values
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional or military experience
  • 10+ years of experience working in an Operations-focused environment or industry
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Exceptional leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to inspire and motivate those around you
  • Proven experience leading distributed project teams against time-bound deliverables (with experience working in remote regions strongly preferred)
  • Excellent time management, organizational, prioritization, analytical, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills (including customer relationship management skills)
  • Proven, sound, reliable, and timely decision-making capability, even in ambiguity
  • Willingness to “roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty” to move objectives forward
  • English and Spanish language proficiency is a plus
  • Experience as an entrepreneur or working in an early stage startup is an added advantage
