Director of Showroom Experience and Operations

We are looking for a Director of Showroom Experience and Operations who can take ownership and lead the strategic planning behind opening and operating all new showroom locations including all the shops within the Nordstrom stores. This would include working cross functionally to reinvent the outdated tux rental experience across all consumer touchpoints including marketing messaging, website pages, and the showroom appointment. In addition you will own the development and hiring of a team to manage each store & Nordstrom outlet, executing and owning the budgets for each location, maintaining the P&L for each location, as well as developing the respective systems and procedures to execute these items.
What You’ll Do
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, merchandising, and ecommerce teams to align product execution and brand storytelling across all showroom operations.
- Create a consistent in-store experience for customers across the retail field; Work with field leaders to ensure showroom experience meets expectations consistently.
- Responsible for the development, hiring, training, and leadership of regional managers, training & operations personnel.
- Develop, analyze, and execute all respective budgets, and oversee and manage all store level expenses to the overall profit and loss
- Establish specific performance metrics and goals that are measurable across the showroom organization
- Develop visual merchandising presentation standards and train the showroom team to relentlessly support our brand’s merchandising standards
- Implement, rollout, and work with our system providers for all store level technologies
- Lead stores to execute business plans, including taking the initiative to ensure sales goals are met
- Develop and implement retail work schedule strategies across the entire business
- Participate in the business planning of new stores. This involves the site selection, negotiation of leases, store buildout and budget forecasting.
- Responsible for all aspects of customer service within the store environment, ensuring that our brand’s values are reflected in our showrooms across all managers and associates.
- Manage and maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as our company policy and procedures
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent. MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience managing multiple retail locations
- Experience with allocating budget and forecasting revenue for all locations
- Ability to work cross-functionally to drive store growth
- Experience in setting up retail stores in various regions from the bottom up
- Willing to travel at least 30% of the time
