That's where you come in.

As Director: Player Support, you will strengthen Riot's ability to release new features and new games that cater for a pain-free and seamless player experience. You'll enable your team to develop, monitor, and supercharge best practices across a variety of subject matters (tech, billing, etc.) that directly affect millions of players' experiences worldwide. You'll work closely with Dev teams to build a strong bridge between studio development and player support in order to shape the future of product support and player experience for the entire company.

You are:

You're dedicated to continuously expanding on the strengths of each individual and tackle their areas of improvement head-on in order to make them better professionals, and you're not afraid to get your hands dirty and do the heavy lifting for the team if necessary.

You're constantly influencing Product teams to make decisions that reduce player pain and working with leadership across Player Support to ensure we're continuing to deliver on things that create player value.
  • A strategic thinker: you're able to take a high level vision and mission and map out an effective route to get there, understanding how to solve for the constraints and challenges you'll encounter along the way. You always keep an eye on the end goal and understand what needs to be done to support the continuing expansion of League of Legends and Riot Games.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: you're capable of making tough decisions and having tough conversations when not every piece of information is available, and you're comfortable facing uncertainty because risk and change motivates you to evolve and innovate.
  • A team player: you know that there's no "I" in team and you constantly make decisions for the greater good of players, Riot, and the team as a whole. You're the champion of team health and you know that team harmony is synonymous with excellence in product delivery.
  • An experienced team manager: you understand how to make sure your team can deliver impactful work quickly. You know how to create a team environment that is sustainable, favors creativity, and allows for scaling for future projects or handling emergent requests

You will:

  • Ensure the growth and career development of team members
  • Define and continuously refine the strategy for the team to ensure its future success as League grows and Riot moves into a multi-product environment
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and develop strong working relationships with all relevant teams, both within Player Support and Product Development; work with your team to influence Product to make decisions that will minimize player pain
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of the player support team through the leveling up of subject matter expertise across all PS teams and the teams' influence on product(s) across all relevant development teams
  • Build and foster a strong and healthy team culture
  • Design and lead key global strategic Player Support initiatives designed to improve the overall quality of the player support experience
  • Make and influence key decisions within global PS teams that will affect the support experience for hundreds of thousands to millions of players worldwide
