Summary

Pluto TV is looking for a new Director, Partner Management, who will be the main day-to-day lead on our Content Partnerships team overseeing a portfolio of top tier studio, global TV distribution, cable, and network partners (such as Sony, Lionsgate, MGM, Discovery/Scripps, NBC, etc.) with the goal of forging stronger relationships to optimize the growth and performance of our largest partners. This role will report to the Director of Content Partnerships.

Responsibilities

This is a highly visible, client-facing, critical role within our organization with a wide range of responsibilities, including:

  • Developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of content partners, connecting regularly with key business executives and stakeholders, and preparing monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Establishing a trusted advisor relationship as a strategic partner manager and delivering exceptional client service through timely responses and updates via email, phone, online presentations, and in-person meetings.
  • Creating and executing against an operational plan for existing partner expansion, using key metrics and data analysis to monitor performance and identify areas for revenue growth.
  • Optimizing content pipeline from existing partners to bolster proven categories and support immediate and future programming expansion across new categories.
  • Evaluating content and negotiating deal renewals and amendments to support Pluto TV’s content strategy.
  • Working with cross-functional teams at Pluto TV including Programming, Marketing, PR, Finance, Legal, Operations, Ad Sales and Distribution, to manage partner across the company and to champion and maximize partner’s opportunities.

Requirements

We believe the right individual will have the following skills and experience in order to be successful in the role:

  • At least 5 years proven success in partner or account management role, particularly in media and entertainment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level; in particular, we will be looking at your cover letter to get a sense of your communication style.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening, communication, and presentation skills; experienced negotiator.
  • Deep understanding of streaming/digital/entertainment industry.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment.
  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps skills (particularly excel / sheets); proficient working with software such as Salesforce and Tableau, and willingness (and quick ability to learn) new software.
  • Bachelors Degree especially in business, economics, math, or similar analytical field; MBA is a plus.
