About the role


We are seeking exceptional talent for our newest Director of Operations, Digital Menus. This person will work closely within the operations infrastructure, including Product, Engineering, Brand Development, and Marketing. You will use your organizational skills and tech-savvy behavior to orchestrate our technical and data-grounded capabilities to configure and publish our digital menus. With the explosion of activity in the ghost kitchen space and the positioning of Ordermark + Nextbite, your team is the focal point for powering our menu concepts and technology in a digital landscape to help achieve ever-growing success. This is a fantastic opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a rapidly expanding industry. You will work with the Product and Engineering teams to help identify areas where we can leverage technology and automation to improve the quality, accuracy, and scalability of our menu operations. Ultimately, you will be responsible for refining our standard best practices that allow us to scale by implementing and coaching others with ever-improving technology, process, and tools. We’re on a rocket ship that is accelerating; your job is to make the rocket run ever faster, farther, smoother. This position reports directly to the VP of Operations.

The impact you will have:

  • Collaborate with Product/Engineering on technology, data, and automation that can better serve our digital menus business
  • Measure and improve the performance and quality of our group of offshore resources who conduct the bulk of data entry for our digital menus
  • Direct an internal staff to help achieve excellence in problem resolutions, menu integrity audits, channeling of incoming issues, and many other aspects of our efforts to streamline our processes
  • Support Brand Development and Food Experience by providing critical operational inputs to the new menu concepts that they propose to take live
  • Align with data science on the factors that will alert us to menu problems
  • Establish and track KPIs crucial to your team’s success and report performance progress to senior leadership.
  • Represent digital menus interests for cross-department initiatives
  • Work with Operations VPs to develop SLAs for response times, quality, and resolution metrics

What you bring to the role:

  • 5+ years of product & project management experience -- much of what you do will be grounded in initiatives that require expertise in diligent planning and tracking
  • Several years managing direct reports and influencing resources to their best performance and satisfaction levels
  • Extensive experience implementing and operationalizing technology, establishing best practices, and providing feedback loops and ideas for improvements and automation
  • You are a strong collaborator, tech-savvy, super process-driven, curious (need to be internally driven to understand how stuff works), and a systems thinker
  • You embrace partnering on building the tech+people process nature of things
  • Solid background working at hyper-growth startups
  • Bonus points for restaurant or food industry experience
  • Experience specific to continuous quality improvement
  • Strong knowledge of product best practices such as prioritization modeling, A/B testing, etc
  • Understanding various process best practices such as Scrum, SAFe, Lean, and/or Lean-Agile methods
  • Effective time management including the ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize
  • Negotiation and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to execute effectively
