Medely is looking for a highly motivated marketplace operations leader to join our team. You will help develop and improve the company’s local marketplace strategy, building the marketplace operations function from the ground up, with the responsibility to manage liquidity, proactively address supply/demand imbalances, optimize pricing and quarterback new market launches. You will develop a body of institutional knowledge to accelerate network effects through experimentation and testing of cross-functional ideas and strategies.


This is a unique opportunity to join a team with significant traction, experiencing explosive growth, but is still at an early stage. As a Director, you will build a team that will play a critical role in driving rapid, repeatable growth across our marketplace and an improving experience for our facilities and pros. We are looking for someone who thinks deeply about how marketplaces work, is data-driven, and is excited to work on the frontier of highly skilled labor marketplaces.

Responsibilites:

  • Monitor the ongoing balance of jobs being posted and available, qualified pros on a market by market basis
  • Work closely with our Sales and Clinical Ops leaders to direct resources toward balancing supply and demand
  • Work with our Product team to optimize the jobs presented to pros in each market
  • Develop proactive pricing strategies that utilize Medely’s growing body of data to optimize pricing for each role in each market.
  • Test different pricing strategies’ impact on facilities’ posting behavior and fill rates.
  • Work with our Sales, Clinical Ops and Strategic Finance teams to develop an aggressive new market launch calendar
  • Coordinate cross-functional, time-gated, launch sprints in new markets
  • Experiment with non-scalable/subsidization strategies to accelerate initial traction in new markets.

Required Experience:

  • 6+ years experience, 3+ of which were at a hyper growth marketplace business in an analytical role (Strategy, Planning, Marketplace Ops, etc.)
  • Investment Banking or Consulting at either a high-growth company or a well-established organization is valued
  • Demonstrable history of using available data to derive actionable insights
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Elite statistics/analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a history of effective cross functional leadership
  • Deep curiosity and bias to experiment, test, learn and iterate
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and with making and testing assumptions to solve complex problems
  • Experience managing a team, and ideally managing managers
  • Ability to be a player/coach who can function as a high performing individual contributor while simultaneously building a team to manage and develop
