What we are looking for…

A Director of Hotel Operations that is obsessed with providing the absolute best luxury guest experience in the hospitality industry. Our Director of Hotel Operations will create processes and technology that enable us to expertly manage our growing portfolio of hotels. This leader will be part of the Headquarters Operations team and work with other leaders to enable field and vendor teams to easily integrate the management of operationally complex hotels into our established best-in-industry workflows. The ideal candidate will be an experienced technologist that understands how to create error-free physical and digital processes. This individual is obsessed with hospitality experiences and knows how to work with others to obtain the necessary outcomes. 

What you'll do...

• Create and implement operational processes or technologies for the maintenance and care of AvantStay hotel properties with an eye toward high end branded luxury
• Work with the VP of Operations to ideate and create a unique branded in-unit experience for all hotels to differentiate AvantStay from other hotel operators
• Communicate the vision for AvantStay hotels to a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure hotel properties are onboarded on time and according to brand standard
• Simplify the management of complicated properties and guest experience while not reducing expected experience outcomes so that AvantStay can leverage its already robust field operations, concierge, and vendor teams
• Establish, monitor, review, and report on key performance indicators or metrics to internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth end to end differentiated and luxury guest experience

What you'll bring...

• 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in a tech-enabled luxury hotel, rapidly scaling physical operations or regional boutique hotel management
• 2+ years of working with product and engineering teams to build both internal and external facing software solutions
• 2+ years of experience within branded hospitality
• Must be US-based and willing to work some weekends and some evenings full time
• Strong written and phone communication skills
• Strong analytical, strategic, and collaborative skills
• Comfortable working in a very fast-paced environment
• A perfectionist, attentive to all the details
• Clear understanding of the decisions that drive guest experience
• Focused, hard-working and willing to do what it takes for us to reach the next stage
• Ability to think on your feet
• Eager to learn and implement new software and hardware solutions
• Experience in real estate, hospitality and/or tech is a plus.

• Salary: $110,000 - $120,000
