About the Role


An opportunity to become a leader in developing food delivery brands of the future, NOW. We're looking for an experienced data-driven leader and consumer insights detective who can uncover critical pieces to the puzzle of how to satisfy customers in the food delivery space with actionable solutions to food delivery problems and also ways to delight them by understanding what's missing in order to proactively provide outstanding hospitality. This insights sleuth will employ traditional insights discovery tactics like conducting focus groups and also pioneer new ways to collect consumer insights that really matter to customers. The successful candidate will bring expertise in hypothesis-driven research design, insight identification, and audience-adapted storytelling. They will be equally comfortable with quantitative analytics and qualitative synthesis.

The impact you will have:

  • Direct and conduct consumer research initiatives. Translate consumer insights into business opportunities, leveraging consumer research initiatives including the use of consumer focus groups, digital survey, and other brand resonance testing models
  • Partner with brand dev, and marketing team to ensure that strategies and plans are based on clear and compelling concept insights
  • Generate clear and actionable insights from brand research activities.
  • Ensure best-in-class research practices to ensure quality design, execution, analysis, and reports. Analyze consumer research and mine for deep impactful, actionable insights that will impact the success of each potential concept or brand
  • Inspire brand development team with ways to reimagine testing concepts driven by robust consumer learning and customer journey mapping
  • Manage existing research relationships, develop new capabilities, and work with external partners in adherence to the overall budget.
  • Bring in a steady stream of external research, emerging trends, and analogous settings to amplify the brand and concept knowledge base. Serve as an internal expert on consumer research and insights, category trends, and global competitive activities that point to strategic initiatives to maintain leadership and relevance in the VK/Ghost Kitchen space and to help drive innovation
  • Oversee knowledge management and ensure robust practices for both preservation and utilization of existing research and insights
  • Serve as a leader in the Brand Dev and Marketing team, working closely to achieve priorities for brand creation objectives
  • Performs other duties as necessary to support the objectives of the Brand Development Department

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field required
  • 7+ years of proven Insights, Research and/or Customer Experience required
  • Industry background where Insights is a strategic advantage preferred
  • Robust experience with data analytics
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to synthesize insights and make strategic decisions
  • Strong learning agility. Enjoys and excels in environments where s/he must tackle and solve new and increasingly complex strategic business challenges and issues
  • A brave, ambitious, and passionate director with a high level of emotional intelligence, and a willingness to embrace change
