The Opportunity

We are looking for an Operations & Supply Chain Manager to help build and manage the core operating systems behind Blinkjoy as we scale. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing the complexity of a fast-growing D2C and B2B physical products business.

You will oversee key areas including global logistics, supplier coordination, inventory planning, production timelines, fulfillment, quality tracking, and operational systems. This is a highly visible role with significant ownership across the business, working closely with the founder, manufacturers, freight partners, 3PLs, Amazon, Shopify, clinics, and international distributors.

The right person will enjoy creating structure, improving processes, solving problems proactively, and helping turn a fast-growing founder-led operation into a scalable consumer health company.

The Role

Global Logistics & Freight

  • Manage domestic and international shipments across small parcel, LTL, air freight, ocean freight, and other shipping methods

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, manufacturers, 3PLs, Amazon, distributors, and retail partners

  • Oversee shipment documentation, customs requirements, freight tracking, landed costs, and issue resolution

Supply Chain, Sourcing & Manufacturing

  • Manage supplier communication, purchase orders, production timelines, deposits, final payments, and shipment readiness

  • Evaluate existing and new suppliers for cost, quality, reliability, production capabilities, lead times, and scalability

  • Support sourcing, component selection, packaging decisions, design-for-manufacturing tradeoffs, and cost optimization

Inventory & Fulfillment Operations

  • Build and maintain inventory forecasts across Shopify, Amazon, clinics, distributors, and international partners

  • Monitor stock levels, reorder points, lead times, sell-through, and cash tied up in inventory

  • Manage 3PL workflows related to receiving, kitting, bundling, returns, replacements, and inventory reconciliation

Systems, Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Create reporting for inventory levels, open POs, freight costs, landed costs, fulfillment performance, stockout risk, and gross margin

  • Build simple, scalable processes and SOPs to improve visibility, speed, accuracy, and accountability

  • Support quality tracking, product issue resolution, compliance documentation, and continuous improvement with suppliers

Who We Are Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, inventory planning, or consumer products operations

  • Hands-on experience managing global freight and physical movement of goods, including international shipments, customs documentation, freight forwarders, customs brokers, small parcel, LTL, air freight, and/or ocean freight

  • Experience managing supply chain for physical products, including supplier evaluation, sourcing, costing, production timelines, component selection, manufacturing tradeoffs, and overseas production partners

  • Strong understanding of purchase orders, lead times, freight, customs, 3PL operations, inventory planning, landed costs, fulfillment, and operational systems across channels like Shopify and Amazon

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven, with strong communication skills and the ability to operate independently, solve problems proactively, and create structure in a fast-moving environment

Compensation & Benefits

This role includes a base salary, annual cash bonus, and equity compensation. Expected total compensation range for this role is $60,000-$100,000, depending on experience and the mix of cash compensation and equity. Equity grants are designed to give early team members meaningful ownership in Blinkjoy’s long-term success as we scale the company.

Benefits and perks include:

  • Hybrid work based in Encinitas, CA

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Excellent healthcare benefits & free vision insurance

  • Annual wellness reimbursement

  • Equity compensation with the opportunity to share in Blinkjoy’s long-term success

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
