Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with other departments to identify operational issues, including marketing processes, purchasing, logistics optimization, and customer satisfaction; 

  • Identify and clarify management objectives and operational system needs; 

  • Observe current operational systems and gather and analyze information regarding each component of the system;

  • Define data requirements and gather and validate operational information;

  • Specify manipulative or computational methods to be applied to operational models;

  • Design, conduct, and evaluate experimental operational models when models cannot be developed from existing data; 

  • Formulate mathematical or simulation models of operational problems, including constants, variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives, and numerical parameters;

  • Perform periodic validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy and reformulate models as necessary; 

  • Study and analyze information regarding alternative courses of action; 

  • Use mathematical modeling to track process improvements; 

  • Prepare reports advising departments and management on the impact of different courses of action to address operational issues; 

  • Collaborate with Market Research Analysts to prepare data analysis reports; 

  • Prepare reports of findings and present results to management of various departments;

  • Collaborate with management to ensure successful implementation of selected problem solutions.


Requirements:

  • Field (s) of study required: Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Analytics, or related fields

  • Skills: SQL, Python, R, MATLAB, Tableau, TensorFlow, Keras API
