Position Overview:
The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role as a key strategic partner to the company's COO, providing visionary leadership and guidance to the internal teams. Your mission is to drive operational excellence by implementing advanced processes and innovative practices across the operations department. With a focus on enhancing client relationships established by the sales team, your responsibilities encompass effective communication, meticulous material procurement, and regulatory compliance. Your leadership will foster a culture of mentorship and continuous improvement, elevating customer service quality and best practices throughout the distribution center. Your ultimate responsibility is to ensure safety, expertise, adherence to regulations, efficiency, and profitability in all business undertakings.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a cohesive team culture, infusing collaboration, and unity throughout the organization.
  • Recruit, onboard, nurture, and evaluate new team members. Conduct comprehensive performance assessments as necessary.
  • Attain mastery in TSDC product specifications and applications.
  • Strategically communicate project-related details to stakeholders, ensuring comprehensive understanding.
  • Forge robust project plans in collaboration with the operations team and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution of client initiatives.
  • Drive the Root Cause of Service Calls initiative, aiming for first-appointment installations.
  • Supervise Quarterly cycle counts, ensuring accurate inventory records.
  • Manage installation teams, elevating their expertise. Integrate continuous process enhancements and on-field outcomes.
  • Innovate Operations SOPs through knowledge acquisition and improvements.
  • Scrutinize team member calls for efficacy, professionalism, and alignment with TSDC policies.
  • Conduct and facilitate team meetings, aligning field personnel and stakeholders to ensure consistent alignment.
  • Provide technical leadership to field personnel and Customer Service regarding installation challenges, shop drawing interpretations, and site readiness.
  • Uphold comprehensive project documentation and meticulous records.
  • Serve as the Safety Officer, orchestrating regular documented training sessions for team members. Ensure adherence to project safety standards through quarterly checks on field vehicles and safety protocols.
  • Propose improvement programs and optimal practices, enhancing safety, material utilization, product quality, field tech vehicle maintenance, and the client journey. Provide documented recommendations to the COO.
  • Demonstrate exemplary adherence to company procedures, acting as a role model and liaison to the Executive team.
  • Coordinate job site projects, employee outages, and production undertakings with other departmental Managers as required.
  • Exercise oversight over the logistics department, optimizing Hub management while exercising stringent control over logistics expenses.
  • Travel to job sites, hubs, and TSDC locations to provide hands-on guidance when necessary.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years in Operations Leadership Capacity, ideally within the manufacturing & the construction industry.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Transformational experience in supply chain, fulfillment, and systems.
  • Advanced technical acumen, proficiency in MS 365, Teams, and Customer relationship manager.
  • Adept at problem-solving.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Ability to serve as a professional ambassador for TSDC.


Physical Demands:
In the performance of this role, the employee must stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The role also involves lifting and moving objects weighing up to 80 pounds, as well as repetitive arm and hand movements. Exposure to loud noises, such as drills, is possible (ear protection is available on-site).
