Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Excellence (OpeEX) Manager to join the LNA Corporate Team Remotely. The OpeEx Manager is responsible for leading enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational excellence, productivity, and sustainable performance. This role serves as a strategic change agent, embedding Lean principles, optimizing end-to-end value streams, and building organizational capability aligned with business priorities.

This position will develop and implement value stream transformations to achieve and support Legrand LNCA priorities. This position will work closely with plant leadership and cross functional leaders to deliver breakthrough results in safety, service, quality, productivity, and working capital.
 

Responsibilities
  • Partner with business leaders, supply chain leaders, and plant teams to drive value stream transformations to deliver clearly differentiated results in customer service, lead-time, on-time delivery, quality, inventory and working capital.
  • Utilize VSM, transformation roadmap planning and A3 thinking to develop and deploy specifically targeted Kaizen, projects, and JDI optimized to the end state goals.
  • Implement MDI through the Legrand Way to sustain improvements and as the foundational element of our continuous improvement culture.
  • Teach, coach, and develop others in the Legrand Way, problem solving, value stream mapping, Kaizen, MDI, visual management, and supporting lean tools and disciplines.
  • Executing and project management the value stream transformation plan, developing the standard work and leader standard work to sustain the new value stream.
  • Works in a safe and efficient manner, supports and meets Environmental Health and (EH&S) goals.
  • Actionable Lean tools and methods teaching and coaching using the approach of “Learning by Doing.”
  • Support sites on leadership lean mindset capability development and driving value stream transformation working with sites leadership.
  • It requires 60% travel to the sites and supporting the local teams on the ground.
     
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • BA/BS/ME degree in engineering, business, or related fields.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations to include Lean framework deployment, actionable Lean tools and methods application, value stream transformation, and Strategy Deployment (Hoshin Kanri).
  • Operations Management, Project / Program Management, Industrial, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Electronic background. 
  • Demonstrated skills and results from value stream transformation utilizing; VSM, Shingijutsu style Kaizen and DMAIC. 
  • Experience in Shingijutsu 3P (Production Preparation Process) is preferred.
  • Training from Shingijutsu, Lean Enterprise or other well recognized lean experts is preferred.
  • Expert problem solver and problem solve coach. Demonstrated ability to teach disciplined problem solving A3 and develop others.

  • CI Technical Competencies. Demonstrated application:
    • Lean Basics (DPM,8 Waste,5S, Visual management, Standardized Work)
    • Problem Solving (OBEYA RPS, A3, 8D, 7QC Tool, Advance PS)
    • Process Transformation (VSM, One Direction Flow, Line Balancing, Tak Time, Pull Systems, SMED, Hoshin, 3P) 
    • Kaizen Framework (Transformation Kaizen, Ideation events, Basics, Charters)
  • CI Technical Competencies. Understand application:
    • Lean Logistics (Material Preparation, Storage, Picking, Put Away)
    • Productivity Management (Financial Acumen, TPM, Project Management)
    • Technical Documentation and Digital Systems (I4.0, MES, Routings)  
  • Capable of driving results working across the divisions, influencing others at all levels of the organization.
  • Capability to manage large projects and stakeholders ranging from LNCA Directors to the shop floor.
  • Demonstrated understanding of global materials management and supply chain / logistics management.
