Pearl Abyss America, Inc. – the team behind Black Desert and the upcoming titles Crimson Desert and DokeV – is seeking a high-performing, detail-oriented, and quality-obsessed Operations Assistant who genuinely cares about people and wants to help build a great team and culture to support the millions of players across platforms (PC and Console) in North America.  

The video game industry is transforming how players are entertained, communicate with each other, and interact online on their digital devices. Our company is looking for an Operations Assistant who is highly organized and an excellent communicator to handle daily office/facility operations and be a bridge for communication between our office and the headquarters in South Korea. 

LOCATION: Manhattan Beach, CA (on-site) 

JOB TYPE: Full-time 

PAY RANGE: $20 - $22 per hour 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide administrative support to employees and various management and operational functions 
  • Maintain the office space, ensuring office supplies/pantry items are restocked, surfaces are clean and cleared, and equipment is working properly 
  • Communicate and coordinate any facility issues with building management and the office 
  • Oversee the daily asset management process, including updating/maintaining the company asset database, retrieving incoming and outgoing assets, auditing and inspecting assets, and submitting regular asset reports  
  • Manage company inventory of goods and company swag, and keep an updated record of all items moving in/out 
  • Book and manage travel arrangements for employees and business partners 
  • Purchase approved general purchase orders, office supplies, and pantry items 
  • Record purchase data and submit purchase data reports following the purchase cycles 
  • Manage or participate in calls/correspondence with the head office in Korea and handle translations from English to Korean and vice versa 
  • Assist HR with onboarding and offboarding procedures as requested 
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree or 1-2 years of equivalent experience, preferably in an administrative role 
  • Bilingual English/Korean fluency required 
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, especially Excel 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to research discrepancies and problem-solve 
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and adaptability  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience working for a global company 
  • Experience in translating in a professional environment 
  • Passion for video games
