Position Overview

We are looking for an OpenStack Engineer to help design, deploy, operate, and support large-scale cloud environments for our global clients. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with OpenStack, a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, and a passion for building highly available and scalable systems. You will work closely with both internal teams and clients to deliver reliable cloud services and resolve technical challenges. This role is key to ensuring the stability, performance, and growth of our OpenStack based platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain OpenStack environments for production use
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure performance, reliability, and capacity
  • Troubleshoot issues across OpenStack services such as Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, and others
  • Perform upgrades, expansions, and lifecycle management tasks
  • Work directly with clients to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to integrate OpenStack with our other platforms and tools
  • Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and best practices
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support critical systems
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing architecture designs for new deployments

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with OpenStack in production environments
  • Solid understanding of compute, networking, storage, and identity services within OpenStack
  • Proficiency with Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as KVM
  • Experience with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack
  • Scripting experience with Python, Go, or similar languages
  • Ability to troubleshoot performance issues and conduct root cause analysis
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with clients

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience contributing to OpenStack or other open-source projects
  • Familiarity with Ceph or other distributed storage technologies
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms
  • Background in large-scale cloud infrastructure environments
