About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and organized Office Coordinator to manage the day to day operations of our Studio in Los Angeles. The studio is a working production facility where our creative and multimedia teams shoot photo and video content for Zenni's website, campaigns, and social channels, and this role is the person who keeps that facility running. The majority of the role is traditional office and facilities coordination: receiving and tracking deliveries, IT coordination, ensuring a safe secure facility, keeping the space organized and well stocked, managing our in-studio inventory of eyewear product and production equipment, and serving as the first point of contact for anything related to the building. The remainder of the role supports our production team directly, helping set up and tear down photo and video shoots and providing on the ground assistance on shoot days.

This role is a strong fit for someone with a background as an office coordinator who enjoys operational work and wants to be the organizational backbone of a creative environment. Reporting to the Director of our Multimedia team, this is an in person position based in our LA studio, requiring full time hours on site during normal weekday business hours.
Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all studio facilities needs, including vendor coordination, maintenance requests, IT needs, security, building access, cleaning, and supply ordering, resolving issues quickly to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Receive, log, and route all incoming packages and deliveries, including product shipments, equipment, and general office supplies, and manage outbound shipping and returns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and production ready studio at all times, including common areas, storage, prop rooms, and shooting spaces.
  • Ensure a safe and secure studio environment by proactively identifying and addressing safety hazards and security concerns.
  • Act as the on site liaison for IT needs, coordinating with remote IT support to resolve connectivity, hardware, and access issues for the studio team.
  • Manage studio calendars and space reservations so that shoots, meetings, and other work functions do not conflict.
  • Own the in-studio inventory of eyewear product, tracking SKUs as they arrive, are used in production, and are returned or archived, and keeping records accurate so the team always knows what is on hand.
  • Coordinate with product and merchandising teams to ensure the correct SKUs, colorways, and quantities are in the studio ahead of scheduled shoots, and flag gaps early.
  • Maintain organized storage and check out systems for cameras, lighting, grip, props, wardrobe, and other production equipment, and track condition, repairs, and replacement needs.
  • Assist with setup and teardown of photo, video, and social media shoots, including staging product, props, and equipment, preparing sets, and resetting the space afterward.
  • Provide on the ground support during shoot days, such as running errands, managing deliveries, coordinating meals and craft services, and helping crew and talent find what they need.
  • Support producers with logistical items such as call sheets, vendor confirmations, and day of schedules.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in office coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast paced environment.
  • Clear and reliable communication skills for working with cross functional teams and outside vendors.
  • High attention to detail, particularly when handling inventory records and sensitive or unreleased product.
  • Comfort with project management tools and basic production software, and willingness to learn new systems along with IT management on site.
  • Ability to safely lift and move equipment, props, and product shipments as part of regular studio work.
  • Full time in studio presence during weekday business hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as an IT coordinator, office security professional, studio PA, production assistant, or hands on facilities role.
  • Familiarity with inventory or asset tracking systems.
  • Experience in the eyewear, fashion, or retail industries.
U.S. Perks & Benefits:
  • Annual Bonus Program
  • Healthcare: 100% premiums covered for medical, dental, and vision for employees (50% for dependents)
  • Basic Life and AD&D with option for additional voluntary coverage
  • Short and long term disability coverage
  • 401k with up to 4% match
  • EAP and Spring Health that gives you and dependents access to free therapy and coaching
  • Free access for you and your family to our digital wellness platform - Wellness Coach
  • FTO (Flex Time Off) in addition to our Week of Zen - the time between Christmas and New Year’s to relax and recuperate
  • Fully Paid Parental Leave - 16 weeks for birthing and non-birthing parents
  • Family forming & fertility support and services through Maven
  • Annual Zenni Gift Card - to use towards our products!
Compensation

In addition to other forms of compensation like perks and benefits, the estimated range for this role is $67,870–$84,810. The final offer will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skill set, experience, geographical location, market conditions, and other organizational needs. The Company reserves the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for various reasons including business needs.

At Zenni Optical, people remain the heart of our mission, even as we embrace technology that moves us forward. While we recognize the immense promise of AI, we are equally mindful of its limitations and use these tools strictly to assist our Talent Acquisition team rather than replace human judgment. We utilize AI tools as a collaborative partner to create content–such as job descriptions, interview questions, and outreach messaging–and review resumes, but we maintain a firm commitment to human-led hiring where AI never makes a final decision. Every selection is determined by a member of our team to ensure every candidate is personally valued by a human rather than an algorithm.

We look forward to hearing from you!

We strive to build a diverse team of individuals with a broad range of experience and perspectives. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t feel you meet all the qualifications.

Zenni Optical is an equal opportunity workplace and considers applications without regard to race, color, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or Veteran status. We also consider qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with legal requirements.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
