What We Need:

iHeartMedia has an opening for a seasoned Anchor/Reporter to serve as a primary news voice on multiple stations and across various markets throughout the country. The successful candidate will perform key anchoring duties, as well as execute in-house reporting and general newsroom assignments. A critical component of this role is producing high-quality news content suitable for national wire service distribution. Therefore, candidates must possess a strong ability to write precise radio broadcast-style copy, demonstrate consistently high standards for audio quality, and exhibit strong on-air presentation skills. This position is an early morning shift during weekdays.

                                                                             

What You'll Do:

The responsibilities of this role involve anchoring newscasts for multiple markets and ensuring all broadcasts are supported by clear, concise news copy. The individual will be tasked with producing, editing, and writing content for a 24/7 Newswire service, which includes gathering essential audio from press conferences, and partner TV stations. The successful candidate will also need to file Voicers and Wraps in a timely manner. Finally, the anchor may be called upon to anchor breaking news reports as needed and perform other newsroom duties as assigned.

                                                                             

What You'll Need:

This position requires an individual with extensive "on-air" background, as it is not suitable for beginners. Successful candidates must be proficient in media production and broadcast systems, and possess the crucial ability to plan and organize effectively, set clear priorities, and multitask seamlessly within a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data.
