The Network Analyst III, Pricing is responsible for executing against Flexe’s strategic initiative to utilize our proprietary pricing database, to deliver more intelligence to both internal and external partners, to better quantify the flexible warehousing value proposition, and build a holistic marketplace pricing strategy. This position will have primary responsibility for implementing the vision of the spot market pricing model in warehousing, and driving the data structures, systems, and products to enable it. The Analyst will also have a key role in articulating and presenting our pricing data and models in order to build understanding of cost and value within the overall pricing strategy. This will be done with a long-term perspective toward unlocking self-service and scalable access to the Flexe marketplace. This job reports to the VP, Network Strategy & Solutions.
Job Responsibilities[40%] Build and maintain marketplace pricing tools
- Build data structures and scalable tools for the calculation of marketplace pricing, incorporating relevant internal and external sources
- Improve tools for delivery of guidance, with a focus on maximizing win rate and margin
- Develop Flexe’s total cost & revenue models for pricing, in partnership with commercial and product teams
- Partner with revenue operations on connectedness of pricing and billing tools
[30%] Engage internal and external parties to deliver pricing recommendations while gathering and incorporating pricing feedback
- Deliver guidance rates against customer inquiries
- Represent Flexe’s pricing perspectives for internal parties, prospects, customers, warehouse partners, and 3rd parties
- Use feedback and data from external engagements to improve pricing recommendations and presentation
- Partner with marketing to incorporate feedback in one-to-one and one-to-many deliverables
[20%] Partner with leadership to build a pricing strategy and execute against it
- Help develop Flexe’s roadmap towards self-service pricing products
- Partner with commercial and strategy teams on a monetization/productization strategy for pricing intelligence
- Facilitate pilot efforts and partner with product team to build the products & systems to support the strategy
[10%] Support for other Network analytics
- Partner with product team to incorporate pricing intelligence into network optimization and value analysis tools
- Identify and execute on other opportunities to use network data for the benefit of customers and Flexe
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in a pricing role for 3PLs, logistics brokers, and/or in a B2B supply chain marketplace
- Bachelor’s Degree in industrial engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, accounting, or logistics or related field of study
- Excellent analytical and statistical skills
- Understanding of financial principles: FP&A, P&L, revenue forecasting, supply & demand effects
- Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, remote, and cross-functional environment
- Understanding of 3PL warehouse operations, and ability to communicate credibly with leaders of 3PL warehouses
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time: team/company meetings, industry events, and customer/warehouse site visits
- Proven results in taking new strategic initiatives from pilot to execution, in collaboration with product & technical teams
- Strong judgment, problem solving, and critical thinking skills; experience helping companies identify improvements in their core business, and implementing those improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sales support role(s) for enterprise customers preferred
- Experience working with procurement roles within enterprise organizations preferred
- Experience with CRM, ERP, IMS/OMS/WMS technology preferred
The salary range for this role is $104,500 to $146,800 depending, in part, on candidate location. Recruiting will confirm the specific range for the candidate location in the initial phone screen. All employees receive company equity as part of their compensation package.
