Job Purpose:

TruStage’s Corporate Development team handles a wide range of complex acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures and other strategic transactions for the organization.   As Mergers and Acquisition Deal Manager, you will be an integral part of our Corporate Development team and will lead the end-to-end deal management process for a broad range of strategic transactions, including managing post-closing integration or separation efforts.  This position will develop and manage processes to drive collaboration, resolve challenges, engage with internal and external stakeholders and ensure swift execution of strategic transactions in fast paced and challenging environments.  

Periodically, the role will leverage these same skills to provide project management support for the B2B sales organization when there are lulls in active strategic transactions.  

Job Responsibilities:
 

Deal Management Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end deal management services for a broad range of mergers, acquisitions and other strategic transactions  
  • Manage due diligence efforts, organize and maintain virtual data rooms and coordinate with internal and external subject matter experts
  • Assist in the preparation and tracking of pre- and post-closing deal transaction checklists
  • Assist in the engagement and management of external advisors and consultants, including the negotiation of engagement letters and statements of work and ongoing relationship management.
  • Ensure deal team responsibilities are well-defined, properly resourced, and ready to proceed by addressing risks and dependencies proactively.
  • Collaborate with shared services and cross-functional teams to address resource constraints and risks.
  • Monitor transaction progress, ensuring that key objectives and priorities are being timely addressed in accordance with transaction timelines.
  • Proactively monitor and escalate risks that may impact execution of transaction
  • Organize and actively participate in internal and external meetings.
  • Coordinate with the Corporate Development team in the preparation of presentations, financial analyses, reports and other materials for TruStage’s Executive Team and Board of Directors.
  • Coordinate with a cross-functional team of internal business leaders to support and manage integration planning and post-closing integration efforts.

Other Project Management Responsibilities for Sales Organization

  • Drive initiative planning and execution to ensure initiatives are well defined, properly resourced and ready to proceed while addressing risks and dependencies proactively.
  • Lead and facilitate regular discussions with business leaders on initiative progress, dependencies and risks; provide updates to senior leadership.
  • Proactively monitor and mitigate risks, working with initiative owners and teams to address issues and challenges that arise; escalate critical risks or issues to appropriate owners for resolution.

Job Requirements:

List of general education, background and experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities typically required to effectively perform the responsibilities of the job. Also include any required licenses and/or designations.
 

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, project management or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic transactions. 
  • Proven expertise in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional meetings and collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Analytical mindset with a results-driven approach to tracking and achieving goals.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

 

Base Salary Range:

$89,700.00 - $134,500.00
