About the Role:
As a Media Operations Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the day-to-day operations of advertising campaigns while learning from experienced media professionals. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in launching a career in advertising, marketing, or media strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Note: Responsibilities will be tailored to the intern's learning goals and team needs

Learn about the media and advertising industry, including various channels such as social, programmatic, managed search, video, mobile, and traditional media

Stay up to date on emerging media trends, technologies, and platforms through team briefings and research assignments
-
Assist in collecting and summarizing industry news, competitive insights, and consumer behavior trends
-
Shadow team meetings with media vendors and tech partners to understand how media is planned, bought, and optimized
-
Assist with internal preparation for campaign launches, including organizing documents and notes from kick-off calls
-
Support team in gathering consumer and industry insights using research tools
-
Participate in brainstorming sessions for campaign strategy development
-
Collaborate with Media Operations, Data Analytics & Product, and Business Development teams
-
Help compile campaign performance data for internal and client-facing reports
-
Take notes and support follow-ups during internal and client meetings
-
Learn how to evaluate historical performance data and contribute to optimization discussions
-
Assist in maintaining organized documentation of client deliverables and campaign updates
-
Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day team operations
Who You Are:

Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
-
Eager to learn about media planning, buying, and campaign performance
-
Familiar with MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); knowledge of Pivot Tables/VLOOKUP is a plus but not required
-
Familiar with Canva, but not required
-
Curious, proactive, and detail-oriented
-
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
-
Able to manage time effectively and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
Final Internship Project:
At the end of the internship, each intern will deliver a two-part presentation to the Media Mogul team:

Internship Reflection Presentation:
Interns will present to the leadership team on what they learned throughout their time at Media Mogul. This may include:-
Key takeaways from team meetings, trainings, and campaign work

New skills or tools they gained familiarity with (e.g., media research, data analysis, campaign planning)

Industry trends or insights that stood out to them
-
How their understanding of the media landscape evolved over the course of the internship

Final Media Plan Project:
Interns will also present a full-funnel media plan based on a mock brief or real-world challenge. This capstone project will demonstrate their understanding of:-
Audience insights and media consumption habits

Channel selection and rationale (e.g., social, programmatic, video, search, etc.)

Budget allocation and media mix
-
Campaign objectives and KPIs
-
Creative/media synergy and timing considerations
-
Basic performance or measurement ideas
-
Interns will receive mentorship and guidance throughout the summer to help prepare for this project and are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and take creative risks.
