Intelligence Intern 

This self-motivated individual will assist with a multitude of earned media monitoring and reporting while getting to experience the day-to-day activities of a fast-paced agency. The best candidates will possess strong analytical skills, writing and proofreading abilities, have a solid understanding of media relations and current events, and have previous relevant internship experience. We seek strategic thinkers who can help tell a story about our client’s earned media results and stay informed on the latest news - all of which contribute to growing clients’ presence. The position also requires an individual with a passion for emerging media and an understanding of social media as it applies to business. 

Responsibilities: 

Support the Intelligence teams, including: 

  • Supporting media monitoring and reporting across the business 
  • Monitor competitor activity 
  • Conduct media sentiment analysis  
  • Supporting creation of media lists 
  • Tracking analytics and providing support for results reporting 
  • Creating searches and reports within reporting platforms such as Meltwater to track earned media and social conversation 
  • Compiling industry research and insights 
  • Helping transcribe industry events using AI-powered platforms 

Qualifications: 

  • Strong research skills and ability to summarize large amounts of data into digestible takeaways 
  • Strong writing skills 
  • Knowledge and use of AP Style writing 
  • Understanding of what makes news and current events 
  • Ability to meet deadlines promptly and effectively 
  • Great attention to detail, enthusiasm, organization, multitasking, and desire to be a team player 
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work individually 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 

Pay 

  • $15/hour 

Hours 

  • 40 hours per week
