YOUR MISSION

True Anomaly is looking for you, a creative and experienced engineer, to develop and design harness assemblies and harness routing on spacecraft and test setups.  Designs will interconnect the electronics and power subsystem within the spacecraft.  Interconnected systems include power, propulsion, guidance and navigation, data and telemetry.  The harnessing design and implementation are a crucial part of the spacecraft system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop electro-mechanical designs for wire harnesses for our spacecraft and test equipment
  • Meet with stakeholders to gather design objectives and requirements
  • Create 3D models of harness designs using SolidWorks software and manage technical trade studies
  • Route the RF cables and harnesses on the spacecraft with designed brackets
  • Generate electrical interconnect diagrams
  • Analyze harnesses with applicable quality and reliability standards
  • Design and integrate harness routing within the spacecraft and test equipment
  • Document and communicate design results through design reviews
  • Generate spacecraft harness manufacturing drawings that can be given to a technical with minimal input

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in mechanical, or electrical engineering.
  • 3-5+ years of professional experience with spacecraft harnessing design and routing
  • Experience with SolidWorks
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with little input on requirements or management oversight
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with SolidWorks Electrical and Routing
  • Experience implementing designs compliant with IPC/WHMA-A-620A
  • Experience with D38999, M24308, M83513, M32139
  • Proven track record of being able to support and own those harnessing needs of various teams
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment or a similarly dynamic setting

COMPENSATION

  • California Base Salary: $105,000 - $140,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job related knowledge and skills, education, location and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance.
  • Work Location: this role will be onsite at our Long Beach, CA or Centennial, CO location.
  • Work environment is in a standard office, working at a desk or in a production factory.
  • Physical demands may include frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting or carrying items up to 20lbs.

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
